Hard to blame the girls ,referee had a shocker
Prologue: A bad day, heavy rain, blistering sun, humid conditions, longer than usual grass etc.,
Bad Referee Part 1.....
And so begins the tale of the great unravelling....

No excuses m - they left it behind them - easy title for whoever won it. Laois and Monaghan are less than average - Kerry not much better ...

He wasn't great but they miss a pen and we go up and goal to put 6 points between the teams with 16 mins left. Can't blame the ref for not being able to close out in that situation ....

Big bust up in training. Apparently Giller tried to draft Luke Fitzgerald into the team and O'Gara threw the head. Alan and Bernard had a big row over a jumper B was wearing -Alan said it was his. Not good news at all ....

Spotted a few of the Donegal lads in Cavan yesterday evening still in full Fleadh mode (flaggons and Naggins)
They were looking for the Donal Lunny concert - Had to tell them they had just missed it by 72 hours

I haven't heard any clubs complaining yet....hard to see the Dublin club championship 2011 finishing before 2021 that's what David Hickey said..

good news mullins. The moneylenders are cutting their rates for those wishing to buy tickets for all the Dublin finals in September .... Pity the social welfare wouldn't give a dig out. If it was down the country they would be given EU grants .....

Re: Dublin GG News
Three days out from a semi-final and the Dublin supporters are showing the strains of expectation already....
The nerves will be gone entirely by throw in time Sunday (3.45 anticipated)...
What must the feelings be amongst the squad, who are expected to deliver a first final appearance in a generation.....
Squeaky bum time.........

Dublin by 13-15 is 14/1 with Powers and looks about right.
Nice symmetry to the figures as well....Boxty likes this.
I suppose a defeat at this stage would spell the end of football altogether in Dublin..... No shame in losing a final to Kerry..

Early indications of Dublin buckleppery...Expect more of this garish footwork and wild arm gestures as the tackles fly in...

Re: Dublin GG News
Could non-Dubs please refrain from polluting this thread.
Ostensibly this thread is for Dubs to discuss our many upcoming semi-finals and finals. A chance for us to share our latest news about our many star players at minor, U21 and senior, in both football and hurling.
People who have long since had no interest for this year (as usual) in the Championships are not really welcome. Their opinions are not valid as they have no real knowledge of Gaelic games at this level. Nor do they understand or appreciate what it is to be a Dub - ie chosen one.
Please start threads about your own low quality county championships. That way you can all have a chat at the appropriate level.
Thanking you in advance.

Re: Dublin GG News
Example of a 9 HOUR Novena:
When I choose to do a 9 HOUR novena, I prepare my home accordingly in order to keep me in a focused state for 9 hours and I let close friends and family know that I will not be logging on to websites, scoffing cans of Dutch Gold, answering the phone or returning phone calls during that time. Then I turn OFF my phone. I begin the 9 HOUR Novena by reciting the prayer (Novena) of my choice. Between each time that I say the prayer, I do laundry, smoke 10 fags, clean closets, drawers, the refrigerator, take a long bath, etc. I also set my alarm to go off at every hour (on the hour) in order to stop and pray the novena at the top of each hour. During my "moving meditation" of clearing and cleaning, I do everything I can to stay focused on my intentions that I AM requesting during the novena.
You'll be able to fit in a fair scatter of these between now and Sunday....Cover all bases. Try and stay off the drink as well.
