The town that God forgot. Thriving 20 years ago with 13 pubs when the British Checkpoints were on the edge of the town. Now down to 2 pubs. Football team with 8 players having played for Cavan. Yet they are still Junior. Turn left and go for Bawn..

I was including minor appearances too. All 3 Cunninghams, Two of the Currans as far as I know also played minor/U-21, then Prior and McKiernan. That's 7.. I thought there was 8 maybe I'm leaving someone out.. Perhaps not. Still though 7 county reps at a Junior club doesn't add up.

Re: Cavan GG News
Trevor Crow the Lacken man?! I thought he wouldn't play intercounty... A lot of people wanted him back for the Senior team thinking he was among the best midfielders in the county.. With Mulvey out for the Cork game could he be an option?

Re: Cavan GG News
long distance loory driver,so couldnt commit fully, and id imagine they wouldnt be as strict for the juniors.wasnt overly impressed by him tonight, but as good as anything we have at the minute.philip brady was very good, scored 2-4 i think,a bit selfish at times though.

Re: Cavan GG News
I wasn't there Scoop but I'd heard he was called onto the panel and the report says he was brought on. I'd love to see him with the seniors in the next year or two. He looked like Cavan's most natural footballer in the U-21s this year and was probably the best player in the Ulster final for us. Are you a Kingscourt man yourself?

Re: Cavan GG News
Anyone post on another Gaa forum. Ive see that one or two from here do. I signed up to it last year and got banned after a week for some micheal jackson jokes.
Anyway here are my views on some of the regular posters there.
Mylestheslasher – good poster who seems to know quiet a bit despite not living in Cavan. Will his club do well in intermediate? Prob not
Ballyhaiseman – Quite Knowledgeable and a proud club and county man. Probably thinks Ballyhaise will win Intermediate, i think he could be right.
Boojangles – Good cavan man. Club will hope to go well in intermediate.
Celt Man- I call him copy and paste man cos he is fierce found of it. Bit of a 3sum going on with himself Put-it-up and boojangles. Should be happy to have got to intermediate final last year because they wont get near it this year or for a long time again
Dougal- Good lad ! Good run possible in championship.
Denn Forever – Dont think has ever been to a game and seems to have something irrelevant to say on lots of other threads. Bit of a nutter me thinks. Denn, anything is possible last two senior finals but better teams about to challenge gaels.
Put-it-up – Good man to go to game and post reports, fond of the craic and the drink by sound of things. See celt-man and boojanglesfor 3sum. Baileboro to struggle in championship.
Beer Barron- good tips from time to time with horses.

I wont be going heading on holidays at 10 sat nite, supose i could make it but it but would mean dragging herself around the country which wouldnt go down well.

Re: Cavan GG News
The team for tomorrow is
Fintan
Hannon
Sheridan
Brides
Cahill
McCutcheon
Clarke
Mcguigan
Galligan
McKeever
Nesty
Flanagan
Mackey
Brennan
Jelly
fairly close to the best we have to choose from, but that midfield would get a hammering by reilly and king from the gaels, and quite a few other club midfield pairings would put it up to them.hopefully they can step up bigtime.

Re: Cavan GG News
Galligan cannot afford to go missing for another game for us. I'd rather see Walsh in there at least he might spoil some of the Cork possession around the centre. McGuigan hasn't done much so far and isn't the worst option to have at midfield I suppose..
Good luck to the boys tomorrow. We've been great at pulling off shocks over the years, hopefully this can be another one. It's an immense task but not impossible. G'wan Cavan!!!!
