Re: Cavan GG News
Hyland ratified as the new manager with Anthony Forde as trainer. 4 year term. No big surprises. Best of luck to them.

Re: Cavan GG News
Best of luck to Terry Hyland in the senior post, He has done a great job with the U21s and will hopefully be given adequate time to bring through many of these lads to the senior setup over the next few years. With a good minor team last year coming through also, things are certainly looking positive for Cavan. The main thing here is that they have a Cavan man at the helm which should in all honesty be the aim of all county boards to have a native managing the Senior football squad.

Re: Cavan GG News
Cavan captain complaining about the county board, blaming them for spreading a false rumour about player power forcing Andrews out. Hmmm, lads, so tell us in your words why Andrews left.
It would be lovely sometime if, having done the crime, people were prepared to 'man up' and do the time...

With Andrews out of the picture now will Seanie Johnston be asked to re-join the county set-up - What do the Cavan lads here think about that or would they be happy enough to see him move on to pastures green?

4th Provincial title in 2 years.. Albeit one of them a Leinster Cup.
Cavan Chairman Tom Reilly is bullish in his prediction of Sunday's result. Stated in an interview after the Final on Wed that: "I believe Cavan will always beat Fermanagh, and we'll beat them Sunday"
Meanwhile the Breffni turned Lilly it seems will take a hurl in hand this weekend to put a suitably farcical end to the clusterf**k that is the transfer.

Well, as there will also be 29 other lad with hurls in their hands, surely one of them will do the decent thing and, as you subtly put it, 'put an end to this farce'....

Yeah, surely one of they will have a bit of Cavan blood in them somewhere - and then draw a bit of Cavan blood.

if they cant get anyone to do it i am sure TC could arrange for someone from his native Dungannon to do it, they were f**king good at it when i played against them, still have the scars to prove it too!!!!!

Val Andrews is on Newstalk from 2 to 3. Two Kildare men interviewing him. Could have an few tight questions asked!

Re: Cavan GG News
Said he was pucking about with Kilkenny boys he is a great hurler! Said the GAA was wrong to hold him back from playing. Once he fullfilled the rules he should be let do what he wants. Spoke very well. Always feel he wants to let loose on the matter but holds back. Spoke well on the matter! I'm glad he is gone from the Cavan job though.

For a man who tends to ramble on and come out with some fairly idiotic stuff (eg: Cavan scored more v Donegal that anyone else last year etc) I always admired his handling of the situation, never let himself down by getting involved in a slagging match. Strikes me as a true gent. But I agree, happier to see Terry in charge. He's a right bit cuter than Val.

He appears to be holding the hurl the right way and his helmet isn't on back to front so that's a start, we'll judge him onhow many 'air' strikes he manages during the game and how many times he solos the ball!!?

It would be very funny if it turned out Seanie turned out to be a quality hurler banged over a few points!

Would not surprise me in the slightest. He strikes me as one of these lads who could turn his hand to any sport. Was a very good handballer too.

No time for him to be given a chance to score. Started at left corner forward and was subbed after 2 minutes.
