Re: Chelsea V Liverpool
I think it maight be good for Liverpool there too MMM, Chelsea were coming in for an attack there near the end of the half. Dirk unlucky not to get a goal from his header, great goalkeeping from Cech. Torres needs to get the finger out, not in it at all.
Hope Rafa gets that tube Lucas off he's for f**k all, Riera is 10 times the player. Would prefer to see Alonso taking the frees even though Aurelio scored that one, its not usual for him to do that, Alonso is more presise. Chelsea not in the first half at all, and has anyone noticed the amount of throws?

Some amount of frees too Niamh, this ref's very whistle-happy! Cech may have done well to palm that header away but he almost had a howler straight after when the ball was pumped back in and he was flapping at it. Not to mention his awful position for the free kick. He's not near the same keeper since his head injury, a great shame as he was brilliant. He can still be great but the absense of Terry in there is obvious.
I'd expect Hiddink to lay into them at half-time, shocking display. Both teams still have alot left so it should be an interesting second half.

How did you get it that size?
Could you be playing the prophet here Loyal, Drogba to score the decisive goal perhaps?

Re: Chelsea V Liverpool
Really hope Liverpool get another goal, it would be a shame to go out on away goals. Bayern are holding their own at home against Barca, 4 goals for them is a bit of a big ask but!

Chelski 17/1 to win this match now from 2/1 earlier, Liverpool 1/10.

I reckon they'll be happy just to win the game itself, restore some pride. I doubt Barca will be too pushed and Klinsmann basically admitted they wouldn't be able to turn it around.

And Liverpool only 7-4 to qualify now, compared to 10-1 earlier.

Oh dear Niamh, what can I say?
A tale of two keepers this game.
Still, another goal to take it to extra time so it doesn't make a pile of difference to Liverpool as they needed another anyway, but it'll give Chelsea a much needed boost.

Goodnight I-reina. What a hit!
Hope it stays the same now so I'll have called it right in my prediction! But there's goals yet, I trust Liverpool will make it an exciting finish.

Re: Chelsea V Liverpool
What happened your Essien goal prediction Loyal? He may score yet though.
Hell of a tie though, 8 goals in two games with still a frantic half an hour to play, some difference to the Chelsea-Liverpool games we've come to know.

Re: Chelsea V Liverpool
Drogba/Ballack should have buried them then.
It's at times like this that you see the importance of Gerrard. He has single-handedly got them back into games like this, whereas these players are lost when it's not going for them. Torres needs to do more, but without Gerrard he really is slogging away on his own up there.

Bloody sure I'm not Loyal! I would be a Man Utd "follower", or whatever you want to call it! I had no preference really on who I wanted to win tonight, I just wanted to see a good game. But tomorrow night there'll be a few Porto supporters on I'd imagine!
Great goal on the counter there finished well by Lampard. Chelsea-Barca will be a great semi-final.
Lucky goal there by Lucas but sure it makes the last 10 minutes a bit more exciting.
