Chelsea V Liverpool
Liverpool will have Javier Mascherano back after he was suspended for the first leg. However, there's bad news for Liverpool, with doubts hanging over whether Gerard will be fit after suffering a groin injury. Honestly I dont know how this game is gonna turn out. Chelsea winning 3-1 on aggregate obviously are in the driving seat, but Liverpool have made outstanding comebacks in the past, so it's all to play for.
Essie's verdict:
Chelsea win(home advantage could swing in their favour)

Re: Chelsea V Liverpool
No way back for Liverpool I'm afraid, they've left themselves with too much to do. I can't see them scoring three at Stamford Bridge, and anyway I can't see Chelsea failing to score so Liverpool will probably have to score 4! If they do manage it it will be up there with Istanbul in the great escapes stakes.
The worst thing they could possibly do is play Gerrard if he isn't 100% fit. If he plays and isn't fully fit he could pick up a bit of a knock or aggravate his injury, keeping him out longer. Liverpool's best bet is to focus on the league, win their 6 remaining games and they're a good bit towards winning the Premiership as Utd will drop points. I can't see Liverpool winning them all but you never know, they'll be treating each one like a cup final.

I agree. It might favour Liverpool if they dont win. Manutd will be a bit distracted with the champions league and liverpool could take advantage of that and make sure they play their best in their remaining matches and oust Manu from the top!!!

I'm going to put a wild statement out there, Liverpool qualify for champs league and united don't....
If Bolton can score 3 past chelsea so can liverpool.

That certainly is a wild statement Niamh, but it ain't gonna happen!

Eastenders is a million times better than Corrie!!! I used to be a great defender of Corrie, but it's gone seriously downhill and I no longer watch it. the storylines are dragged out way too long....

Exactly what, I couldn't possibly respond to such a ridiculous statement. This is the non-GAA thread, please keep to the topic, if you want to slag off another county do it in the football section.

Ah I'll quit with the wind-ups, just bored! I still don't take kindly to Monaghan-bashing mind!
Just wait until championship starts, then sparks will really start to fly! Oh what fun it'll be if we meet Mayo down the line!
