Leeds vs Liverpool

How does everyone think this match is gonna go tonight?

I know its the Carling Cup and neither team really gives a damn about it.Liverpool are concentrating on the Premiership and Leeds are looking to get out of League 1. However, a win against a team like Liverpool would raise our profile right back up there and remind everyone that we should be back where we belong.

Predictions here aswell guys,

Leeds 2 (Becchio, Howson)
Liverpool 1 (Voronin)

* No Torres/Gerrard means a Liverpool team which can be beaten

Ah we don't need these bum competitions Swinny - let Liverpool try and win some silverware I say - might take the pressure of Rafa. It'd be kind of nice to see Torres, Stevie G, and all the other multi million pound stars parading in an open top bus around Liverpool with the Carling Cup!!

Just came on here to start this thread - saved me a job ther Swinny!

Rafa has stated that he intends to win the Carling Cup this season as he "has never won it before" so it looks like Liverpool might be focusing on the competition after all.

The reserves will be played tonight, but I wouldn' be suprised if Gerrard et al are at hand on the bench in case things get tricky.

Living in an area dominated by Leeds fans, I will never live this one down if Liverpool lose tonight. Leeds are doing brilliantly this season - the profile is being raised anyway, albeit gradually!
