All wannabe soccer players should look up to him with a kind of admiration.
He has it all, speed, strength, skill. Class act.

Sorry Esther and Loyal, Messi is the best in the world right now bar none. He's a little genius and is well on his way to winning the next World player award, even though that's many months away yet.

Pity Gerrard wasn't fit as without him we lose a leader as well as Torres who rarely plays well without Stevie. Ah well, Barca for the CL, hope Porto beat united it would be better without any English teams in final Porto v Barca final.
If Porto do manage to hold off Utd, I'd say Arsenal are in the final. Don't see Porto seeing off two English teams in a row.

Drogba can be a bit Messi(sorry couldnt resist) sometimes. He can be clumsy, and tonight st one stage he should have continued on with the ball instead of passing it-he would have scored. As well as that, he has more than a tendency to dive-a practise i dont tolerate and never have. I've played against too many divers...

Lionel Messi and Torres deserve to be on there. Messi scored 8 goals in the champo league so far, 30 in all comps-Torres has scored 14 in the premier league!!! Also Essien could render a place...

It's possible alright, and if that were the final anything would be possible. But if Arsenal met Barca in the final I'd imagine they'd be torn apart.

Yeah, Vidic is but sure he's there aswell!
Honestly Niamh, who else would you have on the right wing? Obviously Ronaldo isn't up to last season's standard but that would have been near impossible.
Messi on the left.

Who would you take out? I had to move Philip Lahm to right back to accomoodate Grosso but Lahm is a right footer and has played there the odd time for Germany. Chellini is the next Nesta/Cannavaro/Baresi/Maldini. I reckon the Russians have one of the most attacking forwards in the world and thus the inclusion of Zhirkov and Arshavin. You could probably swap them in position.

I would take Zhirkov off and sub in Torres. Torres is just that bit better. Zhirkov is the best Russian player. I remember a goal he got against hamburg a few years back-priceless stuff. But i think torres would be better. I would take Ronaldo out and sub in Essien-he's been playing tremendous stuff for Chelsea recently

Re: Chelsea V Liverpool
Essien's not a winger Esther..
Unless you want to remove Xavi, then you could fit Essien in there. Anyway, Essien's only back from injury not too long, how can you justify him in a world XI on current form? He was great against Liverpool last week but that's hardly enough to merit a place.

With Liverpool out of the CL now will they go all out for the Premier league?

What else can they do?!
I'd be of the opinion they should have been focusing on it even before the Chelsea games. It's Liverpool's best chance of the league in years(even though they need Utd to drop points), and if they win their 6 remaining games they're well on their way. Utd will drop points in the remaining 7 games, so Liverpool just have to do all they can on their part and hope for the best. Will Utd drop 4 points or more? Who knows, the toughest tests would appear to be Arsenal and the Manchester derby but there are another couple potential banana skins in there. Personally I hope Utd don't take their eye off the league, that's the priority this year in my opinion. To see Liverpool winning it and taking the record two titles away would be very hard to stomach!

Re: Chelsea V Liverpool
Liverpool are more than capable of winning all 6 final games with no other distractions, 3 teams that can possibly cause an upset at home, Hull and West Brom away should be easily dealth with, Westham could be a problem other than that I think it a waiting game with united!

ya but he has played in matches before liverpool last week ya know!!! Essien has always been playing well for chelsea, and the title in my post was '11 best players in the world at the moment', therefore he DOES merit a place(in my opinion)
