Thomas Clarke wrote:Sorry JS, I can't see the link, but let's not pretend that any incident from Barcelona 'set off' Mourinho. He would have been well up for it from the start.
He is constantly involved in these sort of incidents, and always at the centre of them. His attitude (and, as a result, the attitude of his teams) is antagonistic and always on the edge. He is dishonest and would do anything to win. The man is bad for football - would you want him managing your team?
No no, I meant the slap set Ozil off and that's why he went for Villa and got sent off. Understandable as he just seems to be milling around barely involved before that.
Mourinho is a different story and as you say didn't need provocation, at first I thought he tugged on his ear, childish but harmless, now it looks like he poked the Barca coach in the eye! Crazy behaviour for anyone but for a supposed professional?
Barcelona are far from innocent, brilliant as they may be they continually lower themselves by their antics.
Also, Pepe's tackle was disgusting, Fabregas is a fine player and I was glad to see him finally getting back to the club where his heart was. It would have been a real shame had he been badly injured in his first game because his opponent couldn't take defeat..

No doubt Mourinho, Ozil and Marcelo could be facing lengthy bans after last night, although Marcelo will probably only get three games as he didn't put up much portest
This picture has been tampered with. Watch the tv clip and Jose wagged your man's ear and did not go next or near his eyes.Bad sportsmanship to produce a fake picture like this.

It has clearly been tampered with - there is no way Saddam Hussein was at the game either ....

The photoshoppers were so blatant they stuck Borat into the pic too for an extra laugh.

I think if you were to look at the video you will see he is far closer to his eye than his ear, the fact that Busquets head is in the way onscures the shot somewhat but he was definately very close to his eye and have no reason to believe it was photoshopped. Watch it back hardly a case of " Jose wagged your man's ear and did not go next or near his eyes"

Agree with Puke here, RKF on what basis are you saying that the pic is photoshopped? It has been published by plenty of Media outlets who no doubt got if from a still of the footage and not one photoshopping source.
Watch it in slow motion and he goes with his finger extended and it makes contact with the Barca Coach's eye area and that is what this snapshot is from.

On TV it looks like something a teacher would have done years ago - tugged your ear.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
If you look at the link here it says on caption
Jose Mourinho tugs face of Barcelona assistant Tito Vilanova (it said ear earler)
but the caption on the video says
Jose Mourinho gouging the eye of Barcelone coach
All very strange .....

Inter and Napoli having a stonking encounter here at the moment. 0-1 to Napoli at half time in what has been an end to end game with both sides going gung ho from an attacking point of view. Great entertainment

Didn't watch any of it but the results would indicate it was poor enough fare. Roma and Lazio are playing out a lively affair as we speak though, Osvaldo put Roma 1 up early doors

Pep could be on his way. As could Messi. Barca drop points at home to 9 man Sevilla and Messi misses an injury time penalty to win it!
