We didn't win this year so there might be 11 of us next year I reckon. We were too spoilt before, we appreciate them now and intend on going to both the Munster final AND the All-Ireland final next year.

As we can see from the Guardian Newspaper article having low corporation tax MIGHT bring in a few bob in tax and a load of caravans to Dublin's dockside, but it does not bring in any jobs, or infra structure supplying the mother company, or share of profit or.............
In short, it is a mirage.

Unfortunately/thankfully, that job fell through.
Looks like I'll be back up in the big smoke. The Irish people are looking for a mountain of a man to fix the mess up there.
I'll answer that call.
We all ready have 1 kerry man trying his best you might get in his way..
Socialist Party MEP Joe Higgins has been criticised for walking out of a meeting with the EU Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner.
The incident happened during talks on Ireland's economic crisis between Olli Rehn and the Irish MEPs in Strasbourg this morning.
The Commissioner asked for the discussions to be kept confidential as some of the issues he wanted to speak about were not in the public domain.

I'm not sure who is worse, you or the author of the article.
The article is full of so many inaccuracies that I lost count, and seems to follow your usual rubbish of take a small element of truth. Make up 99% of the argument, and claim all as fact, because one thing within it is true.
Firstly, she never once justifies her claim that the 12.5% rate is "unfair competition." I didn't realise that the UK wasn't allowed to drop their rates to compete. There's nothing unfair about it. If it's giving us such a competitive advantage, then all they have to do is match it. But instead she prefers to take the historical British approach, and demand that everyone change to do what they want.
The 12.5% rate has nothing to do wth Greencore deciding to buy Northern Foods. She seems bitter that an Irish Company has taken over a smaller British company. Did she expect Greencore to re-locate to the UK because they were so honoured to be allowed to buy a British company?
Despite the lies in the article, the jobs creasted by these companies are not "clerical" jobs who "process paperwork," the majority of these jobs are 3rd level graduates and professionals. Google, the example cited, primarily employs finance and IT professionals in its Dublin SSC, but given the lack of truth in the article, I'm not surprised to see see got yet another thing wrong.
Secondly, the "double-Irish" that she refers to also has nothing to do with the 12.5% rate. It's a tax loophole that would still exist if we increased Corporation Tax to 30%.
It's another distraction thrown in, and one that you seem more than happy to repeat as fact. Either you're an idiot or you're intentially trying to mislead people. Given your track record it could be either.
The 12.5% rate primarily attracks 2 types of business to Ireland. It attracts some companies looking to move their head office here, usually resulting in anything between 10 and 50 jobs, and increased tax revenues for the Govt.
It also attracts foreign companies looking to base some operations in Ireland. The tax rate helps lower the cost of doing business here, and makes investment here look more appealing.
One of the biggest types of private employer in Ireland is the Pharmaceutical and Life-Sciences industry, with large manufacturing plants around the country. One of the few remaining things we have keeping these operations in Ireland is our tax rate. I know your idea of a socialist utopia is one where everyone is a badly off as everyone else, and that success is something to be frowned upon, but as usual, you're talking sh*te.

He may not have been elected by the people but given that our exposure to the ECB will be north of €200bn. shortly, if not already, he sure as hell has the mandate..."He who pays the piper calls the tune" and all that...If you had €50k. invested in a business worth half of that and being administered by gobsh1tes wouldn't you be reaching for the steering wheel....
By the way, I think you're a gas man.....

Is it enough I wonder?? Bond markets not reacting well anyways, over 9% again although some believe this is due to political instability..
Will they cut their own wages/expenses and ministerial cars etc? Even if such cuts were to get fook all in terms of making a contribution to the figures it seems necessary in a token of showing that they're willing to row in too..

Sadder still, there's not a word of job creation except for what I'd call hopeful aspirations...Build 100 new schools FFS and kick off a bit of work....
Unimaginative, unadventurous and defensive...I could have drawn up that bit of a plan myself.... Shifting seats around on the Titanic here....

Cutting tax relief on pension contribution
There is going to be a lot of old poor people in 30 years time - but given that they are cutting healthcare that might reduce them a bit.

Brian Cowen today announced that he is changing the national emblem of Ireland from a Shamrock to a CONDOM because it more accurately reflects the governments political stance. A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks and gives you a sense of security while your actually being screwed!!!!!!!!!
