What would the Dublin lads make of Boden's chances at the weekend

Re: Local GAA Championships
P - they are a good hurling side and very strong and fit. Were impressive in blowing away a decent Vins side in the Final. Defence is particularly good. However its a big ask to travel to Nowlan and take on the local champions. I wouldn't write them off at all but given OLG 'home advantage' it should make them clear favs.

Re: Local GAA Championships
Aye. Boden have done four in a row (not done since Garda in the 1920s!) so they are a cohesive unit at this stage. They won their first ever title in 2007 and have not lost it since! They have plenty of quality with the likes of Durkin, Lambert and Hiney - oh and Keaney! Worth a nibble at 15/8.

Will Diarmuid Connelly ever throw his lot in with the hurlers or is he too lazy, I hear he is as good a club hurler there is in the capital

All Britain Junior Club Final -
ST. PETERS (Lancashire) 3-12 SEAN McDERMOTTS (Warwickshire) 2-04
Biggest hammering of the tournament handed out in the final, that turned out to be more one sided than first thought. Lancashire is where the strength lies at this level and they backed up beating the mighty John Mitchels, Liverpool in the Lancs Final by going the whol hog and winning the All Brit.
McDermotts have won the Warks Championship for the last 100 years and will be mighty disappointed at their display and tactics employed. They tried to rough up the Manchester boys and failed miserably.

Sunday 14 November
Leinster semis
O'Loughlin Gaels v Ballyboden, Nowlan Pk - gonna stick me (considerable) neck out here and go for the Boden!!!
Raharney v Oulart-the-Ballagh, Mullingar - gotta favour the Yellow Bellies but they won't have it all their own way.
Ulster semis
Crossmaglen v Burren, Casement Park - goota be the Cross lads
Coalisland v Naomh Conaill, Brewster - fancy the Donegal men here after their impressive victory in previous round
Munster semls
Sarsfields v De La Salle, Pairc Ui Chaoimh, -Going for the Waterford men here but only a point or two in it either way
Kilmallock v Thurles Sarsfields, Kilmallock - Fancy the Tipp men for this one.

Leinster semis
O'Loughlin Gaels v Ballyboden, Nowlan Pk -poor defence will be Ballybodens undoing
Raharney v Oulart-the-Ballagh, Mullingar - Liam Dunne wants a minimum of a Leinster title & they will be full strength
Ulster semis
Crossmaglen v Burren, Casement Park - Performance against Galls say they are the team to beat, but will suspensions hamper them, missing 2 I think, midfielder sent off against Galls and young Clark (Armagh semi final ?)from the forward line
Coalisland v Naomh Conaill, Brewster - Tyrone cuteness to prevail
Munster semls
Sarsfields v De La Salle, Pairc Ui Chaoimh, - Will be an all Sarfields Munster final
Kilmallock v Thurles Sarsfields, Kilmallock - See above comment

Re: Local GAA Championships
DLS are overpriced to beat Sars, they should be 4/6 at best as opposed to 11/10 IMHO....They beat Sars in Cork two years ago by a couple a points a week after winning their first ever Waterford title on their way to reaching an A/i final, they have had more time to prepare this time....Thye have brought through a few young lads to what was a relatively young team and the experience of 2 years ago will stand to them, Sars are no great shakes and in Mullane and Phelan DLS ahev the two best hurlers on the field
in short: GET ON!

Swad ease into the Ulster Junior final beating Glasdrumman by 9 points, the last Club flying the flag for Cavan!

I was tipping Boden more with the heart than head but they brought it to extra time. If I was in the bookies I would've gone for the home win!

Good to see Big Vinny still togging out
Its not often that the heavier build lads stand the tests of four decades
Last time I saw him in the flesh 18 years and two months ago- he was jousting with Matt the Rat
St Monicas playing in junior semi final - best of luck to him

Sunday 28 November
Leinster SHC final
O'Loughlin Gaels v Oulart-the-Ballagh, Dr Cullen Park - going for the Yellow Bellies
Ulster SFC final
Crossmaglen v Naomh Conaill , Clones - gotta favour Cross due to pedigree and experience
Munster Final
De La Salle v Thurles Sarsfields, Pairc Ui Chaoimh - Sarsfields to cap a great year for Tipp hurling
Unfortunately you will get only a little over 3/1 for these 3.

Re: Local GAA Championships
Good Ulster club final yesterday, Glenties had serious support in Breffni and outnumbered Cross by about 3 to 1. Some of the abuse a small section of them roared at McConville and Bellew was uncalled for I thought but I'm sure they've heard worse. One lad behind us was blue in the face shouting at McConville that he was finished etc.. Good to see Oisin still knows how to shut up people like that.
Swad's brilliant run in the Junior came to and end against a very good Corduff side. Swad weren't at the races at midfield for once and their backs were exposed because of that. They just didn't perform on the day, so Cavan's wait for a trophy at any level goes on! One good point about the game was Gearoid McKiernan, one to watch out for in 2011 lads, still U-21 but will surely be involved with the Seniors. Himself and Givney could prove a formidable force at midfield in years to come..

Unfortunately a few Glenties people have repeatedly gone OTT at games and created a bad impression of a generally well behaved bunch.
Well done to Cross. Too much experience for the youngsters from NC. They should still be very proud of themselves though and I'm sure they will be back again.
