There will be no splitter groups here - nor splinter ones either. Dissidents will not be tolerated. You will support Cavan and Cavan only. Jeeze an attempted coup on the eve of a media coup!

To coup or not to coup thats what you get with Cavan .
Virgina, whats virgina ever done for us, and the hotels don't get me started about the hotels and those lakes they are all feckin wet, like we need more wettin' after the summer we've had.

This excellent decision will be fully reciprocated Jim...muchos gracias for the badly needed support.

If you follow this crowd book your holiday for early July. Leitrim though a nice wee county have little or no GAA tradition - and miniscule compared to Cavan.

I thought we'd agreed that tradition wins nothing..."Modest improvements" reported from Aughrim despite defeat.
Faith replacing hope......Yerra, the Rossies are still there to bate in June. It's all or nothing that day.

Don't do it Jim, they don't party in Leitrim like they do in Cavan!
We're not far from the Championship fairystory to match that of Jim Braddock, when people have given up hope, the Breffni will come up with the shock of a lifetime to claim the biggest prize in Gaelic Football!

I'm afraid I am not gonna be in Cavan until later in the week Jayo but I have left orders for it to be purchased. I guess we'll have to rely on Dougal for a description!

Re: Cavan GG News
Was looking for this on youtube but it was sung by that horrible man Declan Nearney so here's the lyrics to whet the appetite! Enjoy -
“In the month of November on a cold stormy day
I left my old home and to town made my way
I met with a young man on the road I did go
And he told me the news of the death of John Joe
John Joe O'Reilly has left us behind
He was called by the good Lord to his faithful and kind,
He brought him to Heaven, that proud land to show;
A true son of Breffni is the gallant John Joe.
Brave clann O'Reilly, oh proud is your name
You've reared many sons of great honour and fame
But not even the princes of long long ago
Could compare with our sportsman the Gallant John Joe
His record's a proud one without blemish or stain
Since he played his first football with famed Cornafean
Till he's laid in his cold grave where the wild flowers grow
A true son of Breffni is the gallant John Joe.
He led Cavan to victory on that memorable day
In the final against Kerry in New York far away
The next year in Croke Park when our boys beat Mayo
Once again they were led by the gallant John Joe
In each corner of Breifne there's sorrow and pain
Such a true-hearted sportsman we'll ne'er see again
New players may come and old players may go
But we'll ne'er have another like the gallant John Joe.”
“The Gallant John Joe”-lyrics by Tommy Gilronan.

Re: Cavan GG News
Good to hear! It copperfastens our commitment to the Breffni and scatters the non-believers and insurgents to the four winds. We will not be swayed by infidels with ulterior motives - those who would seek to undermine our determination to assist the resurrection of Cavan football to its rightful place at the top table - sharing the delicacies with the Kerrys, the Dubs and the Galwegians.
We are resolute in our determination and our appreciation and respect for GAA tradition dictates that the full weight of our effort is four square behind the Breffni men. We will not be sidetracked by those with Yellow Bellies who only seek to agitate and confuse in a vain bid to tilt our favour and considerable might towards the south east of the country. We are unshakeable in our belief. We will fight for whats right.
For every summer ball caught, kicked and soloed in Kingspan Breffni we will be there in body or spirit or both. We will offer exhortation and inspiration. When the Erne men come calling we will be ready. We will outsing them on the terraces, outsupport them in the stands and overwhelm them on the sward.
We are Cavan - believe!
