Surprised at you Mullins didn't think you would swap! It was a joke that he didn't get an all star last year. Even when Kerry had them beaten he still was a threat and played as hard as he could.
jon maybe till tom o sullivan put him in his back pocket for the day...don't get me wrong i've watched bernard for years. And he will be 1 of best we've produced for a while but seanie is some player too..

Now now lads. Cavan are our second team. We will not bring our own county into it. We will cheer no. 1 for our own but keep a close and supporting eye on the Breffni boys.

Re: Cavan GG News
Would I be right in thinking Monaghan would be enemy number one now that we are all big Cavan fans? I'll be sure to have a few choice words for those feckless Farney's in Pearse this Sunday.

Cavan lads! Can you clarify who we are supposed to 'dislike' and in what order and what intensity.

Personally would of thought Meath was the real nemisis.
But give it to MMM on his own, he is now public enemy number 1

Oooh tough one Jayo.
Here in the West of the county there's a fairly hearty dislike of Fermanagh, it seems to have intensified since '08 when the rubbing of the Cavan nose in their success became almost unbearable. We did however get our revenge last year, something which wounded the Fermanagh folk, this will fester as we approach June 12th and all other rivalry will be momentarily forgotten.
The Monaghan rivalry certainly seems to be the most bitter and long-standing, stirred up around Championship time by Monaghan supporters acting superior as they are invariably tipped as 'the team to watch this year'.
But I'm afraid every single Cavan man, woman and child holds a 'stoney' heart towards the Royals. It's bad enough coming away from Croker with a dented heart but to leave with dented transport too is.. unforgivable. This 'dislike' is somewhat tempered by Meath's success after the incidents which Cavan have had no answer. But have no doubt, if the two were to meet; Sparks would fly.

Breffni blues derailed on home soil as Antrim ease away.

Re: Cavan GG News
So so disappointing. Great first half, all heart and tackling and movement, Galligan with a nice flick for the goal, if they had kept concentration until the whistle they could have went in at the break two points up but instead gifted Antrim two scores to equalise. Failed to take advantage of a period of pressure at the beginning of the second, Nesty missed a kickable free at three down and had another effort come off the post straight away. After that the second Antrim goal heads dropped. Flanagan looked very rusty when he came on for Martin Reilly who never really looked interested. Walsh I'm afraid doesn't look up to the standard needed, he was at fault for the first goal and handed Antrim at least two points at crucial times through handling errors. Mickey Brennan would want to have more than he showed coming on this evening to warrant a place on the team. Good performance from Givney even though he couldn't get his high fielding going right.
Credit to Antrim though. Strong and quick, tenacious in the tackle. Definitely bound for Division 2.

Re: Cavan GG News
Good report JS for those of us unable to attend. I think Antrim are a much better team than they are given credit for - and without the Galls lads too. Tis not a false dawn for us Cavan Ultras though - we know we will have to take two steps back for every one forward - but bring it on ....

While no democratic vote was ever taken on this Cavan idea.. My opinion of them, with a module of respect to my Corlough neighbour, is that they're full solid useless....

Re: Cavan GG News
Well Boxty we're no world beaters by any stretch of the imagination. However this game could have been a lot different.
Givney hit the crossbar, Walsh was through on goal with the simple enough task of finishing to the net which any other player (and I don't just mean county player) would have done. Had Nesty brought us to within 2 with that free I believe it would have been a tight finish. Fair enough though they wilted after Antrim's second goal and let them run over them for the last 10 minutes. I know the Galls boys were missing but Antrim had planned for that since the fixtures came out! If they concentrate on keeping the workrate showed in the first half throughout the game and cut out some of the handling errors they can contest for promotion.
And thank you cavan4ever for that oh so insightful analysis. You should send that little gem into the Cavan Post, it would be a travesty if it wasn't published.
