Re: Dublin V Kerry
As far as Spillane and his pre-match talk goes, I think that was cute Kerry hoorism at it's best. Himself and Paidi among others were at it since the draw, giving Kerry no chance and building Dublin up to the last. I wonder if they'd have the same views if they were down the local in Kerry rather than saying it in the national media.

Can't see Meath or Mayo troubling them, but whoever gets to the final from the other side will have come through a tougher game..
interestingly MMM i can see either Meath or Mayo giving Kerry more of a test, not because either are better than the Dubs - in fact both are well behind the Dubs in my opinion - but because a massive high which Kerry experienced today is usually followed by quite a significant low - look at Tyrone last year they beat Dublin of the field and yet struggled to get going against Wexford in the semi final.
There is something about the sight of a Dublin jersey which brings out the best in the Kerry team, quite how they would react to a Meath/Mayo jersey in the semi-final is anyone's guess, though i would hazard a guess they wont play anywhere near as fluent as they did today.

27 threads started on HS since 2pm all on the Dubs/Kerry game.
Would some of ye start a bleeding thread here about anything? Anyone, I'm the only one who starts a thread and sometimes when I do, I feel I'm frowned upon by other posters on here.

Re: Dublin V Kerry
Yeah fair point Boc, and it could well parallel Tyrone's run last year in that they have a bit of a stumble in the semi after a big quarter-final win. I just don't see either Meath or Mayo being able to keep with Kerry for the full 70 mins and actually beating them when it comes to the crunch. Kerry may well struggle to get going, and Meath/Mayo will be well up for it of course, but I can't see them losing all the same. And whoever comes out of the other game will still have had to overcome a much better team than Kerry will have should they reach the final, even if Kerry don't win that convincingly.

MMM i dont expect either team to beat Kerry but what i am saying is that the winning margin will not be as significant as it was today - which some individuals may then use as a way of trying to justify their team as being better than the Dubs when evidently there are not.

Re: Dublin V Kerry
Oh I totally agree with that Boc, Kerry certainly brought their A-game for the Dubs, when they might not for others. Did ye hear Brolly earlier on calling Dublin "a confidence-builder for the big teams" or something like that! Bit of a low blow, but Kerry as with Tyrone last year had to raise their game considerably for Dublin and subsequently blew them away.

bit of a low blow alright but you'd expect nothing less from Brolly - though in fairness to Brolly he was the obly one who called it right in one of todays papers he said 'Dublin should be ready for the mother of all backlashes'
In some respsects teams are actually complimenting Dublin by raising their games against them, they see Dublin as a serious threat and know they are going to have to play well to beat them.

Will you be cheering on Meath against Kerry if we get past Mayo?
After all, Tyrone have proven they are masters of the Kingdom but when faced with the High Kings, they have come up short. Who would you prefer to beat most in the final of the three times in this side of the draw?

i wouldnt think i'd be cheering on Meath but then i wouldnt think i'd be cheering on Kerry either - if Tyrone arent playing then as far as I am concerned its a case of may the best team win.
I wouldnt have any preference on any of the 3 teams Loyal, i would take equal satisfaction out of beating any of them - providing that is we get to the final.

Re: Dublin V Kerry
But there must be a feeling in Tyrone that you won't be considered a great team unless ye beat this Meath side?
Surely the 1996 and 2007 games must haunt ye to some extent? Meath are the only team to have beaten both Kerry and Tyrone in the championship in this decade. How many of ye knew that?

No Jayo, the comments you and your county posted in the last week is a f*****g disgrace. You got what you deserved. I was ridiculed for predicting what would happen by Dublin people - probably the same animals who boo-ed the team. Such posts should be encouraged because plainly the Dubs haven't learned from past experiences. Maybe a few comments like that might waken the lot of ye up.

No Loyal - read their own shagging house rules. You do not go around labelling a whole county of people as scum and animals on a website and laugh about it - there is a line. But that line is constantly crossed and encouraged. But its run by Meath people so ..... probably you if the truth be known.

Me run a website?
Meath gets more abuse than anyone on that forum. You don't go round complaining about that. The general consensus is that Dublin fans are animals anyway. You lot are reaping the reward of what what was sown last week.

Yeah well that kind of talk or language won't go on here. And as for your website capabilities - you'd be surprised what a man can learn.

No of course it won't. So much for freedom to post what we want.
Would you say the Dublin supporter who nearly decapitated me a few years ago is a scumbag?
People over-rate me big time too. Accused of running HS, big compliment that!

Never said you ran it ....
The guy who hit you is a scum bag - there is a world of difference in labelling all Dublin supporters scum, car thieves, junkies, animals etc.
You can post what you want as long as its inoffensive and not slanderous - should be the same everywhere.
