County champo unearth any worthy county material Oaksey?
The Leitrim affair has left Moran looking back at the existing panel I'd imagine.....exciting few games but woeful standard.
A couple from Dungiven I'd imagine. The Loup are too much of a club team, they players are maybe a bit lightweight for county. The best player on the park was Johnny Mc Bride, an excellent player if ever i saw one.
a good footballer alright saw him captain Derry to an All Ireland U21 title in 97 - and now he is a member of the backroom team for Fermanagh, i'd expect to hear his retirement announced as soon as they go out of the Ulster Club race

Re: County Form Guides
Corofin have just done a smash and grab on Joe Bergins Mountbellow to
retain their Galway football championship crown. Their a limited side
though with fuckall decent forwards, cant see them making much headway
from here on.
In the hurling Loughrea progressed to the final and a showdown against
Portumna thanks to a shocking free awarded against Mullagh in the dying
seconds. Ref and former player Christey Helebert judged Mullagh
defender John Gaynor to have thrown the ball rather than hand-pass it
out and Loughrea scored the winning point from the simple free. Even
the commentators on Galway Bay fm were saying it was an appaling
decision. Shocking scenes thereafter as Mullagh fans blocked access to
the refs room and Guards had to hold the officials and the Loughrea
players on the pitch for ages until things calmed down. Guardai
escorts, off field scuffles, arrests, usual club championship
shenanigans. Great stuff all round.
Portumna will ate Loughrea in the final.

Mullagh did get a soft penalty in the second half though. I always thought lying on the ball was a throw-in not a penalty. It was poorly taken anyway. The free might have been harsh but he did throw the ball which is a foul. Ref was maybe a bit too picky sending off 2 players for what was handbags in the first half.

Re: County Form Guides
I see its been removed alright Clash. Interesting. Basically it was some lad recording the abuse Helibert was getting from very close on his phone. You could see guards holding the ref on the pitch but even there their were fellas surrounding him and hurling all sorts of abuse. Couple of lads were trying to calm things down, think they were Mullagh officials in fairness to them.
