Who will win?
Re: UEFA Champions League
I watched the second half of this alleged "European showpiece" to escape from gardening duties and to tell the truth it was rubbish. Manchester looked out of steam, ideas, passing ability and showed little enthusiasm for the battle.
Is this the best the English league can offer? Yer' man Ronaldo is a gimp of the highest order. What was Rooney doing out at right half forward - I thought he was a full forward.
O'Shea is a lost cause at corner back - Páidi at his age would be better there..
Barcelona had a few knacky half-forwards in fairness - good passers.

Xavi, Iniesta won it for Barcelona tonight. They are so quick with the ball and can keep the ball all day.

Agreed Clash - but Chelsea never let them do what United did - even if United were 1 down early. No urgency, no pressing the ball in the middle, Carrick was muck - passing, presence awful, Anderson I don't rate much, Park is a workhorse but is not in the same league as Barca type midfielders, Rooney subdued and couldn't get into the game, Ronaldo don't know where to start so I won't, Vidic & Ferdinand - static and too far apart too often, Evra - poor, O'Shea not the worst but was obviously told not to pass the ball forward or beyond 5 yards, Giggs - dreadful I'm afraid. Fergie got it all wrong for a change.
With 15 to go United didn't believe they could win and decided to pick up some yellows cos they couldn't take their beating - Ronaldo - petulant, Scholes - a disgrace, Vidic - only way he was going to stop Messi.

Re: UEFA Champions League
Ach now Ronaldo wasn't the worst of them JC. Most of United's few chances came from him and he was certainly better than any of the midfield. Bit petulant near the end with Puyol but that's nearly par for the course these days! Doesn't excuse it of course but from a footballing view he was the best of a terrible bunch for Utd. But it's not saying much in truth as nobody was near their potential. Midfield was complete muck, although Barca's was unreal, taking nothing away from them. All the talk was about Ronaldo vs. Messi but Iniesta by far outshone them both I think tonight with Xavi also superb.

Re: UEFA Champions League
I have never rated Ronaldo tbh MMM - not as highly as he is anyway. If Keane was there in his prime there is NO WAY they could both play on the same team. He had most attempts alright but never looked to see if someone was better placed - and they were sometimes.
Utd left Vidic & RF on the edge of their box and nobody closed down the space between centre circle and the D. Give Barca that kind of latitude and they will kill you and they did. If it was Carrick's job he failed miserably. Xavi and Iniesta are excellent - but Messi is a genius - and what an attitude - even when floored at the end - I love that in a class player. As distinct from pouting when you (regularly) miss, knowing the world's cameras are zooming in. I'd let CR go - he obviously wants to - and keep Tevez - good business.

Re: UEFA Champions League
Funny enough I'm not so sure Ronaldo wants to go anymore, at least not near as much as last year. It's obvious it's a dream for him to play for R Madrid, as it has been since he was a child, but I don't think yet. He's clearly not the type of player who will stay at a club for nearly all his career, but I think he's happy enough at Utd atm. Looking at interviews the last week or so he was asked several times and he said he'll be there next season, he was even laughing at the question it was asked so often. It's some difference from last year when he couldn't give you a straight answer. I think he's grown up a bit in that regard from last year, he realises there's no point in going to Madrid when he can stay at Utd and continue winning trophies, or at least have more of a chance than Madrid! Although I suppose it was easier for him last year after winning the Champions League, we'll see his attitude now.
I don't doubt his ability and talent, but clearly his attitude can leave alot to be desired at times.

Barcelona Barcelona
Viva
I had this perfect dream
This dream was me and you
I want all the world to see
A miracle sensation
My guide and inspiration
Now my dream is slowly coming true
The wind is a gentle breeze
The bells are ringing out
They're calling us together
Guiding us forever
Wish my dream would never go away
Barcelona - It was the first time that we met
Barcelona - How can I forget
The moment that you stepped into the room you took my breath away
Barcelona
Barcelona
And if God willing we will meet again someday
Let the songs begin
Let the music play
-Ahhhhhhhh...
Make the voices sing
Start the celebration
And cry
Come alive
And shake the foundations from the skies
Ah,Ah,Shaking all our lives
Barcelona - Such a beautiful horizon
Barcelona - Like a jewel in the sun
Barcelona -
Barcelona -
If God is willing
-If God is willing
If God is willing
Friends until the end

Re: UEFA Champions League
Well it was great to see Manchester NOT score. Almost got into a fight in the pub because my drunk mate thought it would have been funny to rub it in.
Apart from that, I knew that Messi would score the last goal and won myself ÂŁ70 as well as free drink, said before the game started that there would be a goal in first 10 minutes:P

For a bit of comedy Dell is trying to still claim Ronaldo is the best in the world, worth a look. He is being ripped to pieces by both United fans and ABUs!lol

Michel Platini has announced that the next time United get to a European cup final, they will play with two balls so each team can have a kick.

Doctors are today carrying out tests on Nemanja Vidic by force-feeding him. It's to see if he only chokes in big games.
What a gorgeous day out. The birds are singing and all Mancs are going around with their tail between there legs. Life is good
