Huge outbreak of swine flu in London yesterday. 30,000 Chelsea fans reported to be sick as pigs ....

You thinking of heading over Clash? Rome is a fantastic city!
It'll be a rough spot that night though!
With all the Utd fans, MMM? Ah I don't think so - the Japanese are not a violent people ....
I was thinking more of all the Roma ultras lurking about and being a bit knife-happy! Even though they're not playing I'd imagine there'll still a a few about looking for trouble and they've had run-ins with Utd fans in the past. Hope all goes well though.

True MMM - though Rome is full of police at the best of times and they are used to dealing with the Ultras etc.

Re: UEFA Champions League
Yeah they're well used to it by now I suppose but stabbings keep happening. They know themselves that there is a high chance of trouble even with a high police presence. I remember a while ago before a game in Rome when an English team were playing, the authorities were actually advising the travelling fans to get transport straight to the stadium to avoid any Roma fans. It's a bad state when you can't walk from your hotel to the game!
But I'd say for such a big game there'll be alot of police and the fact that Roma aren't playing themselves, hopefully the event will pass without incident.

* UEFA Champions League
Now I don't watch a lot of TV, in fact very, very, little.
However I got interested in "Life on Mars" after catching the following scene.
The detectives are at the crime scene and the dopey one comes up with a United scarf and says "This was beside the body".
Gene Hunt immediately says "At least now we don't have to look for a f###### motive". Priceless.
There and then I thought "this sounds good".

Re: UEFA Champions League
I think Park will start clash, he's a great man to have there against the likes of Barca as he's a tireless worker and we'll need that workrate against the likes of Iniesta and Xavi in the middle, and he might have a hand in helping stop Messi. He was very hard done by last year by not being selected in the squad and I think he'll be given a start tomorrow.
I would say the one thing I'm not sure of is whether to start Giggs in the middle, with Ronaldo up front on his own, or to start Tevez/Berbatov instead flanked by both Ronaldo and Rooney. I think it may be the first as they're up against a great central midfield of Barca's and they'll want to crowd that out. I'd like to see one of the strikers start myself though.
Team I think will start:
VDS
O'Shea Rio Vidic Evra
Park Anderson Carrick Giggs Rooney
Ronaldo

I'd say he is definately going to play five across the middle on one up front.

Yeah it would be the wisest thing to do, but I do think Park and Anderson are certs to start anyway.

Wonder if Barcelona will get soft free kicks after what Platini said about them being allowed to play. Will Messi be diving as usual, I think he is as bad as Drogba or Ronaldo.

Barca 3-1, Ronaldo to get an early goal Messi to star with 2 goals, Rooney to see red.

Re: UEFA Champions League
Don't know why you think Rooney will get sent off, he's been very composed recently and very disciplined where he's playing. With all this talk of it being Ronaldo vs. Messi I think it'll be Rooney who is the star of the show. Whatever about Ronaldo, I don't think Messi will score tonight, he rarely does well (well, score anyway) against English teams and I don't see that changing tonight. More vital to Barcelona tonight I feel are Henry, Iniesta and Xavi, if they win it'll be down to them I think.
