Re: Winners 2009
I'm sorry I know I sound like a broken record but I can't see Armagh getting by Tyrone in the first found with the number of players who have recently left the panel and now the possible absence of Vernon in midfield v Tyrone is another nail in the coffin. In fairness I'd rather (if we beat Monaghan)meet Armagh than Tyrone like.

Re: Winners 2009
Armagh are bollixed now. Absolutely no midfield option with Vernon out for the next 2 months.
Cant see Armagh doing much this season and may now get hammered by Tyrone. Toner is going to have to be played in Midfield and Clarke, McDonnell and Henderson are going to have to be on form all season for us to stand any chance this season.

By the way, who came up with London as Ulster Hurling Champions.
Antrim could lose, but not to London, well not this year.

Patrique, Antrim are in the Leinster hurling championship and did you mean Fingal instead of Finglas for Lory Meagher?

Re: Winners 2009
Why are people choosing London ahead of Meath in the Rackard Cup? For a start, its a joke we are even in the competition, we are capable of challenging for the Christy Ring and if it wasn't for the clueless clowns in the GAA, we would. Also might I add, that Stephen Clynch and Niall Hackett are two of the best hurlers in the country. I'd be amazed if we didn't win the Rackard Cup, I really would. Especially if we lost to a team like London who were a division below us in the League.

Re: Winners 2009
Ulster football championship: Derry (For fear of Sounding Confident but I really thing everythings in place this year)
Munster football championship: Kerry (But revenge is a dish served cold for Cork who will get them back at a later date!)
Leinster football championship: Dublin
Connaught football championship: Galway
Leinster hurling championship: Kilkenny
Ulster hurling championship: Antrim... however with our back back U21 champs coming through the impossible is nothing! (out of interest who was the last team to do the provincial double?)
Munster hurling championship: Tipperary
Liam McCarthy cup: Kilkenny
Sam Maguire: Cork
and who will be the dark horses this year?
Hurling: Offaly Football: Monaghan
I don't think the above 2 teams will pick up silverware but they will stamp their authority on the championship. I also believe Antrim and Tipp will cause 2 major upsets, Tipp will bring Kerry to a reply in MF and Antrim will take out Donegal in the 1st round...you heard it here first!

Shinners,
Antrim are taking no chances. We are in the Leinster Championship, and the Ulster Championship.
Never mind back doors, we want side doors or French windows as well.

Re: Winners 2009
Ok just gonna put some cream on my humble pie, didn't realise that Antrim are in both Leinster and Ulster Championship.
Totally ridiculous in my opinion, the other counties in Ulster get to battle it out and instead of becoming Ulster champions at the end of it all, they're prize is a game against Antrim in the hope of winning the USHC Crown. This same Antrim, who if they get past Dublin, also have a chance of winning the Bob O'Keeffe Cup.
Hardly fair is it?

It certainly is not Shinners, but spare a thought for poor old Westmeath who have been kicked out of their own provincial Championship at the hands of both Antrim & Galway and where refused entry into the Ulster Hurling Championship on the grounds that "all the dates had been arranged".
I mean how hard would it have been to put them into a Semi-final against Antrim, and make Antrim do some work for the title.
A complete disgrace by the GAA that a county is banished from Provinical Championships!
