Christmas gift ideas...
Girlfriend wants a kitten for christmas, anyone know if theres any going free or for sale?
Here is a cheap and cheerful present.
HMV are currently doing PC tablets for £90. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The only problem I would have with that is that it does not support flash, so you cant watch videos online.

A new bushman saw, baler twine or a carton of Sweet Afton, if he smokes. Given your location, I'll throw in this one by 2 please...
I'd hope ye' hoors wouldn't come home Stephens night and drink it on him.....I always find Redbreast a thoughtful and welcome gift.

Got mine:
Mother (a teacher) - "All Teachers Great and Small" autobiography job, dunno who by but it's hardback and looks pretty. £14.99.
Father - one of them 'Buff' versatile headwear things. They're great things and he's been jealous of mine for ages. £13.99.
Sister (16) - Trying to educate her in better music than the chart crap she's started 'liking' so I've gone for the solid pop of ABBA Gold - Greatest Hits. £7
Brother (20) - Loves the fantastic old Fry and Laurie series Jeeves and Wooster so the complete boxset of that. £20.
TOTAL: £55.98

Re: Christmas gift ideas...
Practical gift for anyone that has a Telly thats more than one year old
= Saorview box.
Half dozen of those closes off brothers -sisters- mother in law - mother. The Father in law and Father funnily enough were chalked down for above mentioned Redbreast - but at half proposed quantity. (however tesco Enniskillen doing offer on Green Label Malt bush) so it serves as substitute.
Haven't broken news of upcoming trip to Poland to Mrs. Omar yet so will have to push the boat out on this one. January delivery from Munich organised - Haven't worked out the payment side of the equation yet however.

Have sorted presents for mother, sister and girlfriend.
Auld lad still to be decided upon, but he's usually easy enough to please.
Big problem is our Christmas visitors this year.
Uncle, his wife, his 17-year old son and 14 year old daughter are staying with us for Christmas.
Any ideas for presents for the two cousins? WTF do I get for two teenagers I haven't laid eyes on for 4/5 years

I have been reccommending this as an alternative....
Only £30-£40 more.

If you're planning on reading books from an electronic device then a dedicated e-reader with electronic ink display is a must. The LCD display of a tablet is very harsh on the eyes when trying to read just text for prolonged periods, and can actually do damage to people's eyesight.
Electronic ink is just like reading from a printed page.
I wouldn't usually be one to advocate getting such a specialised product when you can get multi-purpose devices that fill the same function, but in this case I'd certainly make an exception.
(BTW, one of the division of the company I work for distributes one or two brand of Android tablets. They're exceptional, much prefer them to the iPad)

Black&White knows the score here.....
I'm using this device for 4/5 months and find it cracking. The Crane has outfitted me with 900 additional books of my chosen genre via some dubious sleight of hand, so I'm well set up for a while. The Amazon gift card can also be used to access new releases...

I'm the same. One of these would be perfect for me. But I still cling on to some strange loyalty to real books?!

About $130 JS direct from Amazon. Have ye' no electricity where you are? I can read here at night by flicking the light switch.....
You can purchase, for about $13, a wee clip on device (battery operated) for when you're in the outside loo......
