The Open Championship 2010
Who is your money on to come out on top in this years Open Championship? Can Mc Dowell make it back to back Majors, unlikely i would think.
can Westwood shake of his nearly man title and go one step further and finally come out on top in a Major?
I have a sneaking suspicion McIlroy is going to have a good championship he has never scored worse than a 70 on the course and if he keeps that up he will be there or thereabouts. Mickelson is another i think could be worth watching out for.

Re: The Open Championship 2010
Tiger at 6/1 for a course where he has won two majors is treble the price he would be if it was not for the impact of his enforced break (celibacy)
but he is well out of form with the putter and in 100 yard greens in high winds that is enough to scare me off.
Harrington seems to be a hugr confidence palyer (He is either happy or unhappy with his head/swing/chilblains/Feet/Laser eyes/
and doesn't seem to be carrying the form
For a form bet Rose,McIlroy/Mickleson,Westwood but 16/1 ish is short enough- Westwood seems to have tailed off a few times lately when in pole. I feel Rose and mcIlroy might need to lose one before they win one and don't fancy Mickleson in the weather
Weather will suit mcDowell - but just can't seeback to back
I might fo Molinaris as an outside bet - but main pick is Casey at 55/1

I think I'll go for Rose at 20/1 and last years winner Cink at 100/1

Made a nice bit on backing Cink last year so I'll have to put a wee wager on him again!
Think I'll back Rory and Donald aswell.

Hmm, Rory's -9 after the first round and outright leader as it stands, I think he'll avoid the cut!

Here's hoping! Still think Woods will be the man to beat by the end of the weekend though. It could well come down to him and McIlroy if Rory keeps up his excellent record at this course over the next few days, and if that turns out to be the case we'll see what his nerve's like.

St Andrews without the wind makes it a very different course to play, takes alot away from the difficulty, you can see that from the amount of good scores there today. I'd say the wind will pick up over the next couple of days which should make things interesting.

Tiger and Phil apparently had a large tin of beans for tea ... I expect the wind to pick up considerably!
If the weather there is as bad as here - it will be like conditions at last year's Irish open ......... now who won that??? Good each way bet possibly

I wasn't too far wrong with saying he wont make the cut. Harrington is brutal.
