more of a blessing than a loss Mullins - contributed nothing against Wexford, isnt up to scratch for championship football and even if fit i doubt he would make the starting 15 for the Q/F.

Just backed Dublin at 5.3 on Betfair.

Think that's the final part of the jigsaw. I've spoken and I don't see them being stopped now.

I see it as a plus in some ways, as I don't rate O'Gara. However, it pushes Mossy Quinn and maybe even David Henry a bit closer to the starting 15, which is not a good thing either.

As for the final piece in the jigsaw, well, I'd imagine the Dubs would still have concerns about their midfield, and Paul Conlon looked weak at corner back. I'm also not a fan of Ger Brennan, but he is there to stay.

Our midfield will be no better/worse than the one that started v Cork 2010....Ger is a fine footballer just not a Number 6 IMO but as you say he's there to stay now....

Can't see Quinn starting the next day i would guess henry/cullen /flynn brogan /connolly/brogan

Maybe with EOG out might push Michael McCarthy up a notch, this lad is interesting can score off left/right play 14 take frees from either side and win his own ball....

Met Ger Brennan a few times and he is not a bit like you'd expect from a lad who experiences the red mist from time to time. I think (hope) he has sorted this. The thing I like about him at 6 is his distribution. He has good vision and a great foot pass. In fairness he seems to have matured a lot over the last couple of years and I'd be happy with him at 6 in what I've seen to date.

Our club organises training for our Dublin-based players twice a week, and for the past few sessions we've been training on a pitch adjacent to the Dublin lads.
I've got to say, the intensity in their training is a sight to see. They were playing a 15 v 15 training game last night, and you could have sworn it was a proper match. Intensity seems to be there in every drill they do as well.
Immense to watch, and they seem to have stepped up a gear or two from last year and, in training at least, look a fair bit ahead of 2010.

(Also both O'Gara and Macauley were training on their own, with a separate trainer keeping them going - they did as much as most club teams would do for preseason stuff, don't think they stopped running for a good hour).

All-Ireland champs 2011 and 2012 in my opinion.

Dublin's path to the All-Ireland Final - Tyrone followed by Kildare. Two teams they've already beaten in the championship in the last twelve months.

I doubt it RHM - sure even last year as part of the Down Kerry bill it was not a full house. Big question is ... can the Dubs do the double? Laughing

That would make sense alright. No point in bringing out the 1.27 million Dubs that live here out every night for a week. We'll do it the one night and then party for the five! cheers

7pm Saturday Croke Park throw in for Dublin's quarter-final
25 July 2011

Dublin will play either Tyrone or Roscommon in the delayed All-Ireland SFC quarter-final at Croke Park on Saturday 6 August at 7pm.

The possibility of a Dublin v Tyrone quarter-final, which would be a repeat of last year's meeting, means that any idea of playing the match as part of a double header with the following day's All-Ireland SHC semi-final involving Kilkenny and Waterford has been ruled out.

The match will be preceded by the All-Ireland JFC semi-final between Cork and Sligo, which has a 5pm throw in.

Saturday 6 August

All-Ireland SFC quarter-final
Dublin v Roscommon or Tyrone, Croke Park, 7pm

All-Ireland JFC semi-final
Cork v Sligo, Croke Park, 5pm

Crazy time to have it Evil or Very Mad

you Dubs are hardly getting nervous about meeting Tyrone are you????

Might not be Tyrone anyway its a potential banana skin for us - we are in a no win situation.
