Six One News: 12 coaches damaged in Co Dublin fire
Gardaí have launched an investigation into a fire at a private bus tour company in Dublin in which at least 12 coaches were damaged.
It is understood the fire on the Naas Road in Dublin may have been started deliberately.
The fire is believed to have started shortly after 5am at Dualway, a private coach tour operator based at an industrial park on the Naas Road in Rathcoole.
Three units of the Dublin Fire Brigade are still dealing with the fire at the company's depot and head office - where its fleet of coaches and other vehicles is kept.
At least 12 buses have been damaged in the blaze.
A spokesperson for the company this morning said the buses in its fleet were worth between €30,000 and €250,000 each, however the cost or extent of the damage is not yet known.
Dualway operates sightseeing tours of Dublin, and also provides open top buses for Dublin Gaa when needed.
The company, which has been in existence for over 30 years, employs 90 people.
The Dualway group operates City Sightseeing Tours in Dublin and Kilkenny and Gray Line Tours in Ireland.
It also operates some local bus services in West Dublin including school bus services
"provide open top buses for Dublin GAA when needed"
havent been needed in quite a while in that case - i'd say the last man to drive the open top bus for Dublin GAA is long gone to the other side

the welder must also be good at reversing said buses - they spend more times going backwards than forwards

Agree Jimmy no Panic just yet
Dublin legend Jimmy Keaveney believes the year could still have a silver lining for Pat Gilroy's team, despite their latest collapse in last Sunday's NFL final.
Speaking to the Irish Independent after the Dubs let a first NFL title in 18 years slip through their hands after they surrendered an eight-point lead against Cork, the former All-Ireland winning full forward was surprisingly upbeat:
"It was a setback but it still augers well for the championship. There were a couple of lads missing and I thought when Diarmuid Connolly went off they lost something. He was playing very well and causing Cork trouble.
"What I would worry about is that when we have teams by the throat, we don't squeeze that little bit harder and put them out of the game.
"It's hard to take, losing an eight-point lead, and at that stage you were thinking, 'I hope they don't win by 10 or 12 points' because everyone would have been talking them up for the whole summer then.
"So while it was disappointing, this could be a blessing in disguise. Pat Gilroy and his management team know exactly what they have to work on and they have time to sort it out."
He continued: "You have to ask yourself, is that the team that will start when the championship comes? You have to say that with a couple of fellas still to come back, that it probably isn't," Keaveney says.
"That team might have won an All-Ireland last year and they lost to Cork by a point in the All-Ireland semi-final. The same thing happened on Sunday but Cork are a very, very good team.
"I'm not sure if winning the league was as important for this team as some people were saying. Dublin are still quite capable of winning the All-Ireland

Re: Dublin GG News
Alan McCrabbe makes his return to the starting 15 at midfield for Sundays NHL decider in Croke Park. He has been sidelined with a groin injury for most of the league campaign. Oisin Gough is the unfortunate player to lose out. Joey Boland also comes in at center back.
The team is as follows:
Gary Maguire
Niall Corcoran
Tomas Brady
Peter Kelly
Johnny McCaffrey (capt)
Joey Boland
Shane Durkin
Alan McCrabbe
Liam Rushe
Conal Keaney
Ryan O’Dwyer
Conor McCormack
Daire Plunkett
David “Dotsie” O’Callaghan
Paul Ryan
Can't see them lining up that way few changes at the start i believe..Good to see Rush/Boland and/McCrabbe back..

All cool Mullins, Puke is a big fan of Daly. Of course Pukey is taking the long view, that when these minors come of age in Clare, he will be clambering for the return of Daly to supply the finishing touch to them.

Well done to Dublin, kept their heads, showed composure, finished stronger, hungrier and rattled over great scores.
Kilkenny are finished. Jayo inferred on the other thread the possibility of them finishing with 12 I think, and he's not wrong. Dalton for one will find himself on a trip to HQ to explain his actions and both he and Larkin are looking at 8 weeks. 8 weeks in Kilkenny at this time generally means your summer is over.

Just back from the Kingdom. Watched the matches in the pub on Sunday. Galway serious young footballers if they bring them on. Various counties there and a great atmosphere, most cheering on the Dubs. There is a future for Dublin hurling and now is the time for the footballers to learn from them. Character is the word.
