There seems to be a lot more going on in these chat-rooms than GAA quizzes. If RMD only knew half the stuff that does be going on around here some of ye lot would be out on your ears

Re: GT National Quiz League 2010
Quarter Final Standings
1) JayoCluxton Vs Swinford
2) Bermuda Bomber 1 Vs mugsys_barber 0 - Bermuda Bomber is through to the Semi-Finals
3) Clash Vs JimWexford
4) Dougal Vs SamiPremier
Ties 3 and 4 will be played tonight @ 8-30pm with Tie 1 taking place on Thursday night due to Television coverage. If SamiP is a no show tonight then Dougal will advance to the Semi-final due to non-notification of absence, same for Swinny on Thursday night. LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT!!
First on first up. Best of 5 questions (or first to 3). 45 second time limit on each question and hopefully quizmaster Faux Pas will be kept to a minimum from now on!

Re: GT National Quiz League 2010
I will make it tonight but it will be closer to 9pm for me, have a match and then have to show some interest in the children even if it is only for 34 seconds.
All this so I can go and have a game of cards and a few nice pints of strawberry "soccerball/world thingy free" stout !!!!!!
Clash remembers Galway history against Wexford in the championship ye have never beaten us till next saturday so I'm going to continue that till next saturday

Re: GT National Quiz League 2010
And then there were 5! 7 players have bit the dust as the Semi-final pairings are becoming clearer, only one Q/f left to finalise the line up!
Quarter Final Standings
1) JayoCluxton Vs Swinford Tonight 8-00 PM (Hopefully)
2) Bermuda Bomber 1 Vsmugsys_barber 0
3) Clash 3 VsJimWexford 2
4) Dougal 2VsSamiPremier 1
Dougal defeated Sami in a tense 7 question match up that had 3 deciding questions with Dougal guessing correctly for the win to end any Munster hopes of winning the league.
Clash didn't have it all his own way against Jim with the latter storming into a 2-0 lead but nerves got the better of the Wexford man with Clash winning a 6 question thriller!
Interestingly, all the group winners so far have made it into the Semi Finals so all eyes will be on Jayo to see if he can make it a clean sweep. Even more interesting is the fact that none of the group winners have taken full advantage when choosing the category of the first question with 2 non answers and Jim stealing Clashes thunder in their tie!
Semi-Finals
A) JayoCluxton or Swinford Vs Dougal
B) Bermuda Bomber Vs Clash
Hopefully the semi-finals at least will be played tonight (after the final Q/f tie).
We have a Meath Vs Galway tie and either Dublin or Mayo will take on GT Team of the Year Cavan!! Whose your money on? Prices please!!
