Re: GT National Quiz League 2010
I would like to extend my comiserations to UTOT/Orlaith for a gallant effort last Night. Hope its the sign of things to come for Derry this year.....
The quiz was sort of sprung on me at short notice last night and Dougal had got into the swing of things by the time I had joined in. He will definitely be a tough opponent if he makes it to the final with me
The farming crisis came to an end last night with the birth of a healthy Charolais bull at 2.30am. Both cow and calf are doing well!

Re: GT National Quiz League 2010
Cheers Mullins, must admit i was pretty nervous about running it as there's a lot of work in it, thankfully the hard works over now that the groups have finished!!! I just have to get the question bank sorted for the Q/fs!!!
Could admin put up the final tables somewhere for everyone to see? I would but i haven't a clue how to upload tables onto the thread as the table formatter provided is way too complicated!!!!

Re: GT National Quiz League 2010
Howdy folks, apologies about not getting this out sooner but i've been flat out since the weekend and had a committee meeting last night that was last minute!!!
Quarter Finals will be played off on Wednesday night starting from 8-30pm with Dublin Vs Mayo being the first game, followed by Meath Vs Tyrone, then Galway Vs Wexford and finished off by Cavan Vs Tipp!
The Q/f fixtures will be the best of 5 (First to 3 correct answers).
Quarter Finals
1) JayoCluxton Vs Swinford
2) Bermuda Bomber Vs mugsys_barber
3) Clash Vs JimWexford
4) Dougal Vs SamiPremier
Semi-finals and Final will be played off on the same night, hopefully Thursday night.
Semi-Finals
A) JayoCluxton or Swinford Vs Dougal or SamiPremier
B) Bermuda Bomber or mugsys_barber Vs Clash or JimWexford
Top ranked players are JayoCluxton, Bermuda_Bomber and JimWexford so they go into this as favourites. Interestingly Jim is the only group runner up to remain unbeaten!!!
