LOL. I think I heard about him all right. They were charging 20 bucks a head into Croke Park and he got charged 33!

First of all hogan2010, your hardly blue army at all, you come to one game all year and you think you can join GAAtipster and defend the Blue Army. You can sod off back to Liverpool, back to your crumbling house. And as for you Ronald McDonald, your a mod on a GAA forum brother; you need a woman

Oye Fatehead, I am the student who you spoke of earlier as the founder of the new Blue Army! I was there when we were named and organised all those bloody buses! I went to watch the games on a Saturday morning in the **** hole of nowhere when nobody else went! I co-founded and organised the first wine bus and you cant talk to me about not being Blue Army! You didn't even go to the game yesterday whereas I flew home from England for it!
Do you want to know what we sang to your brother yesterday?
"You've got a fat head,
You're going grey.
Your mum is a MILF and your brothers gay!"

Hogan final
all of these anti-ulster people are going on saying what bad support we "blue army" show. we need to ask ourselves "what is support" its not merely your typical oap going to a county game on a sunday because he has nothing else to do and shout "come on down" etc. Its all about singing and chanting, following your team through thick and thin. Once the college team heard the voice of the blue army yday they thought we will do it 4 them, all tht of the singing got them in the mood to bring it home where it belongs. and another thing is that its a disgrace to see st brendans in an all ireland final in croke park and have no fans heard whatsoever. any set of fans would have jumped at the chance. fair play to st colmans lads. i shall see use in skool eventually. use will be dyin all week. lmao

In fairness now the thread is not anti Ulster. As many people who criticised also defended or spoke for the school. We don't do anti Ulster here. The anti Dub stuff is shocking though ....

This is a perfect example of how ridiculous this whole 'hooliganism' thing is.
And I'm guessing Austin O'Callaghan doesn't know what a flare is.

blue army
It was a delight to hear the fans sing (and yes slag paul)yesterday.I am sure that Paul gets more abuse playing for finuge at the weekend. We must remember that the blue fans are made up of mostly lads aged 14 to 18 years old.The police and stewarts overreacted to the noisy chants. To be fair to them(police) they had no option the senior steward insisted that every time the fans stood up to chant that the were told to sit down which increased the tension in the stands. I think you could do worse than look at how the stewarts in casment handled the fans during the ulster final.Sense prevaled and everyone enjoyed their day out (no ugly scene's or arrests)As to the absence of support for st brendans i was sitting behind their fan' s and the were very vocal in both support for their team and banter with the afore mentioned blue army. I have no doubt we will have the pleasure of seeing them back in a hogan final soon.We must remember this is gaa football not ping pong. All that is good about the gaa was on display at HQ on saturday fairplay to both set's of player's and well done chris clark( i wonder if his mother is from armagh)

Obviously I wasn't at the game as I'm still here in Laos (with two Newry boys as it turns out!). I won't comment on the supporter's behaviour as I didn't experience it first-hand but I've heard enough from friends at home and read match reports online to suggest that this soccer hooligan mentality is not welcome in the GAA.
As Sir Alex would say 'typical nordies'
Just joking. Great win by St. Colmans but it is a pity that some of their fans were an embarressment

hogan final
lot'f people on this complaining of a "soccer mentality"
what about the guards who couldn't wait to arrest a few college fellas and, i quote, screamed into the ear of the fellas being arrested, "we'll have you in court on monday for this you dirty northern b******s"
theres quite clearly a bigger problem here than the behaviour of st colmans fans; behaviour worthy of the RUC
and a quick point, if st brendans had tried to run onto the pitch, they would not have been met with the same treatment, quite simply because they're from kerry.
so what if the college fans made noise? better than sitting there quietly. if any other team had the same support, theyd be applauded but as usual, the distgusting anti-ulster bias within the GAA shines out
noone can argue that the support helped the lads playing and gave them a boost
coungrulations to St Colmans, great performance lads and good to have the hogan where it belongs and well done to all who showed up to support their school

Let's be honest here it's just as well it wasn't the Abbey there yesterday (not that they'll be playing in Croke Park anytime soon)...of all the notorious 'Newry tramps' the Abbey continues to produce the worst. They'll steal anything in sight....even managed to steal a well-deserved MacRory cup of St. Louis' in the last seconds of the 2006 final.
Not to worry though, St Louis' will get a crack at them in the McLarnon next season.
And to the credit of the British security forces in the 6 counties (yeeeeeoooo) thousands of students ran wild in the Holylands on St Patrick's day and just as many arrests were made there as there was at the Hogan Final by the Gardai.
P.! P.! S.N.I.!

Sounds like the parents dropped the kids off in Croker while they went and did a bit of shopping. It's not a baby sitting service you know. If I was a player on that team I'd be disgusted that their so-called fans tarnished their moment in the spotlight. I think its not an anti-ulster thing its a antiscumbags thing. If one of them had their eye out from one of the flares you can guarantee they would be running complaining to the GAA that they had not done their job.

I have to say that I'm impressed with the majority of posts on here from the Blue Army. Most of them are fair and admit that their were some problems at the game however the passion that they have for the team is obvious. Maith sibh.
Swinny didn't write his piece for the sake of it though. He was there and saw up-close some of the goings on. As usual the true is grey, not black and white.

I agree RMD, nobody's slating them I think most have agreed that it is a common case of minority ruling.
