Looks like we've got rivals in the south now.....but north as well....those Antrim fans have been very vocal the past year and I think their high point was singing "Are you Rangers in disguise?" against Cavan last year.
Maybe all the Blues, Dublin and Newry, should stand together against this up and coming Saffron Army? After all, we're basically southerners too......and we let you clog up our shops.

Maybe we could adopt the Down Blue Army as our under 5s......I Call all the Dublin Gaa Tipsters to an Emergency to dicuss the Down Blue Armys motion..

Of course we clog up your shops - where do ya think the kids got the money to gargle!!! I recognised loads of Saintsburys checkout spotty schoolkids as the worst of the culprits on Saturday!!

i must say i agree with your comments but it is time we drew a line(an orange and white line) under this topic and moved on
Ce-thusa wrote:I am glad to have been present as the college re-claimed the hogan and can say I am proud to have been a part of the monumental support St. Colman's received and i must agree with the opinion that the original post on this thread is a complete over-reaction, although I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I believe the performance of the stewards on the day was pitiful. I have for the past 3 years stewarded at Oxegen music festival, an event at which true hooliganism is witnessed and yet i have never witnessed stewards aggravate a situation like they did on saturday! For someone to be arrested for merely attempting to walk on the famous turf of Croke park is unjustifiable, surely common sense should have been adopted and the gates to the pitch should have been open!

I joined this topic near the start and can't believe the numnber of replies. This goes to show what an impact the blue army had on Saturday. Well done to them for supporting their school with such passion and pride. As posted earlier - on what grounds were these "hooligans" arrested? Is it a crime by Irish law to go onto the pith at CP? Because really that was why they were arrested, not for throwing flares, not for their shouts and cheers, but for walking on a bit of grass. It is twelve years since the college last won the Hogan - so congratulations to the whole team. It was great on Saturday night to see team captain Niall McParland bring the MacRoary and Hogan cups to the College!!! Their victory was made even sweeter by the fantastic atmosphere provided by the blue army. Yes, sometimes their behaviour did get a bit out of hand, but apart from that, when was cheering for your school and even your friends a crime?

Deleted the post RMD, was insultive to another member, which is unfair and has no place on here.

Well I see this has dried up a bit...
I just hope everyone now realises that all this was caused by a hilariously exaggerated piece of scrap that Swinford was actually going to send to national newspapers.
Obviously an Abbey man.
