Player vs Player
Round 1
Paddy Bradley vs Benny Coulter
Who is better?
- Not allowed to base it on titles, just skill alone.

Re: Player vs Player
Bradley has two Division One National Leagues, a Derry SFC, an AllStar, and a Sigerson Cup.
Coulter has six Down SFC and an All-Ireland minor.
Hence Bradley, by virtue of titles, is the better player.
But Patrique is better than both.

Paddy Bradley. Coulter is great but Bradley carried that Derry team for a long time and perhaps still does.

If Bradley carried Derry, then surely Coulter carried Down?

Surely this should be Patrique Vs Benny Coulter and Paddy Bradley?
While i am a Derryman, i have to go for Coulter here! I feel he offers more to the team than Bradley overall, i don't look at it as who is the best player, more like who would i most want on my team and it would be Benny C every time.
When Paddy Bradley plays bad, he plays so bad you'd wonder how he even got on the park, but when Coulter has a bad game he plays miles better than Paddy B.
My vote - Benny Coulter!

Benny Coulter. A slightly more skilful player and more likeable than Paddy Bradley.

Because Oisin has retired and is not one of the two players mentioned

Re: Player vs Player
Coulter as a goal getter to compliment the main scorer was great, fetching the ball from the sky, wrecking the onion bag.
However Bradley as a main scorer might actually contribute more, because Bradley is not just a free taker.
So......Bradley.
After me, of course.

Strange post, Coulter gets goals supporting the main scorer, bradley contributes more as a main scorer (even though you acknowledge that is not Coulters role). Then the best bit because Bradley is not just a free taker. Is that suggesting thats all Coulter is or is it an attempt to draw another player into the discussion without actually coming out straight and say what you mean? Maybe i am reading too much into it, maybe you are simply stating that there is more to Bradley than just free taking, if so i agree with you but i have a suspicion there was a reference to my earlier post involved without just coming out and saying it.

Re: Player vs Player
you are on the right lines, bradley is the highest ulster scorer in championship football, including backdoor games all-ireland quarter finals etc. Oisin is the highest scorer in ulster championship football followed by Peter "the not so great" and Bradley. Bradley i would imagine will take over in next year or two.
