I like to have the radio on while I am working or in the car or lying in bed or generally doing anything and tend to go for either the commercial station Absolute Radio or BBC Radio Five Live.

Absolute is great for good music and decent talk - the Christian O'Connell breakfast show were discussing 'have you ever been injured by a biscuit?' the other day (responses ranged from "i put party rings in my eyes as glasses and one of them snapped" to "my friend got hit on the knee with a Maryland cookie and was on crutches for three weeks" to the slightly dubious "a chocolate digestive punched me in the face").

Five Live is the present on my alarm clock and so I wake up to their breakfast show every morning (before switching to Absolute). Also have five live on at night listening to Five Live Sport and the late night debate shows with Richard Bacon and Stephen Nolan.

Don't tend to change a lot from these two except for the odd comedy on BBC 7 and to long wave for RTE 1 GAA commentary.

What's everyone else put on?

105-107 is class.

Not sure where you can get it though. It's Hectors and Tommy Tiernan's station. They never play a bad song.

Spin is good too.

Is Storm 106 still on the airwaves, haven't heard it in a while. Used to be always able to get it up around Dundalk.

And the Power Hour on Shannonside Northern Sound used to be good.

Today FM is good in the morning. Don't get to listen during the day too often, but if I do I'll usually go for Ray D'Arcy followed by Ray Foley.
Afternoon radio tends to be pretty poor until Matt Cooper comes on at 4.30.
After that I'd go for Newstalk for some "Off the Ball," or 5 Live if there's a game on.
One problem with 5 Live is Alan Green. I don't think there's a more biased pundit around. Loves Liverpool, hates Chelsea Man Utd and Arsenal, and makes no attempt to hide it at all. Don't think there's a more biased pundit on any "national" station.
