What is your fav radio station? I like Q102 meself except the love zone stuff in the evening ... . Great 80s music a lot of the time ... yahaay! New Romantics - ABC, Spandau Ballet, Human League etc!!
My least fav is one where they play no music ...

Re: Fav Radio Station
There's a great station over here that i listen to over here, it's called Nation Radio and it's based in Wales and plays a lot of music that woudln't be classed as Top 40. Only drawback is that the like playing Green Day at least every hour!!!
There are quite a few good uns here, Original for one, Planet Rock and Classic Gold are some of the one's i hop around listening to as well as TalkSport.

Re: Fav Radio Station
I wouldn't have a fav station as such, just favourite shows. Like Ian Dempsey, can't stand rick O'shea or ray foley.

Re: Fav Radio Station
i wouldnt say i have a favourite one either - the only time i really listen to the radio is in the car - i would never have it on in the house myself, though its rarely off thanks to the missus.
i will say that Dave Fanning is one DJ who would make me turn the radio off in an instant, he has easily the most annoying voice of a Dj ever.
I do enjoy Gerry Ryan most of the time - he generally has some very interesting discussions

Re: Fav Radio Station
Ian Dempsey is a gobshite. So is George Hook.
My radio day goes as follows:
7.35 Radio 1 (Get caught up on the latest happenings)
7.50 Newstalk (cause Radio 1 have the weather on)
8.00 Radio 1 (Morning Ireland is a much better programme so it's my mainstay)
8.15 Newstalk (switch over after the papers have been reviewed on Radio 1 and they go to a break)
8.16-8.30 Flicking between 2fm/Radio 1/Newstalk until something catches my ear.)
8.30 Radio1 (for the news and the extended sports bulletin)
8.45 Work - no radio
5.30 - 6.00 Radio 1
6.00 Today fm (to miss the angelus on R1)
6.05 to 6.50 Flicking.

Wow not a lot of love for GR here ......
I like Ian D and Ray Darcy ain't bad either. Tony Fenton sounds like a mid Atlantic pirate station jock.

Re: Fav Radio Station
Listen to Dempsey in the morning whilst getting ready for work. On the way home it's usually a bit of Matt Cooper, or if I'm leaving the office after 7 I'll listen to Off the Ball on Newstalk. Don't really listen to the radio much in the evening, but I'll usually listen to half an hour of Alison Curtis when I go to bed. In the car I'd sometimes throw on Phantom when I'm in Dublin.
If I take a day off work then I'll go for Today FM through Dempsey, D'Arcy and Foley, and switch to 2fm after 2.30.
Agree with most of ye though, I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a blunt spoon than sit through Gerry Ryan.

Re: Fav Radio Station
Can't stand GR myself, i do listen to a lot of RTE Radio 1 though, mostly through the season!
I forgot to mention BBC 6 Music, possibily the best radio station around and a pity it's only available through DAB, Sky or Freeview.
