Re: The non EPL thread
A £1 coin was thrown on to the field at Ibrox on Saturday. Police are unsure was it vandalism or a buy out offer.

I wouldn't be too worried about Inter, they are a team on a downward spiral full of old players. They won't even be in the Champions League next year. Plenty of emerging sides though, AC have plenty of decent young players and have money to spend, Juventus, Napoli and Roma are all teams on the up as well.
Still wouldn't be surprised if Inter were to turn Marseille over at home but they are a good way short of the side they were under Mourinho
Decent game between Basle and Bayern earlier. Sommer in goal for Basle was excellent and has a big future in front of him. Would still fancy Bayern to prevail if they have Schweinstiger back for the return leg

Borussia Dortmund back on top of the Bundesliga. All my teams about to win their Leagues: Dortmund, Madrid, City and AC Milan.
Oh dear looks as though all these teams are declining as rapidly as L2TR is as a poster around here. Madrid are bottling La Liga, the gap is back to 4 points while Madrid have a far tougher run in and a trip to Camp Nou, Juventus have overtaken AC, Man City have filled their togs while Dortmund have a season defining game against Bayern tomorrow night which looks as though it will decide the title race.
There is a strong possibility that none of his his teams will win their leagues despite his bullish claims back a few months ago

Another tragedy on a soccer pitch. This area needs so much addressing ASAP in all sports. Cardiac arrest appears to have only become a problem in the last 5-10 years. So obviously players are asking their bodies to go past the boundaries. I'm beginning to wonder if all humans have "underlying heart defects".
In other European news, Borussia Dortmund followed up their 1-0 win over Bayern Munich midweek with a 2-1 winover Schalke (came from behind to win it) and are now 8 points clear at the top of Bundesliga with 3 games to play. Back-to-back Bundesligas for Die Borussen. I would re-iterate what I said at the start of the season, they are the third best team in Europe after Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Elsewhere RM are 4 points clear at the top of La Liga with 5 games remaining. Next Saturday at Camp Nou could be the decider. Another El Classico. I'll be sticking with the Galacticos II.

Is Lass Diarra injured?
Jose will need the likes of him, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo at the top of their game.
There'll be no tippy-tappy stuff from Barca next week that's for sure. Their legs will be taken from underneath them if they try any of that.

1-0 Real Madrid. Best side in the opening 15 minutes. Deservedly lead. Barcelona are looking weary.

Exhibition stuff from Real Madrid in the first half. Ronaldo is destroying Puyol down the left. Messi so far struggling to get on the ball, and Tello and Dani Alves continue to run up cul-de-sacs.

Goal of La Liga 2011/12 from Ronaldo there. Great response to Barcelona's equalizer.

Re: The non EPL thread
Barca look a tired team at present. It is to be expected given how many big games they have played and trophies they have won over the past 4 seasons, something eventually has to give. Too many lads out of form. Well done Madrid, didn't think they were great tonight and lacked real conviction on the ball, 55% pass completion in the first half and less than 30% possesion by them illustrates this in but they took their chances when they came, they could have won the game far more comfortably if they weren't so cautious after the first goal. The second goal was very well worked, lovely through ball by Ozil who had a fine game
Regardless of whether they get to the Champions league final I think Pep will walk away at the end of the season. Presume Marcelo Bielsa will get the job is he leaves

Embers. That is what Barcelona were reduced to tonight. Sensational performance from RM. Game, set and match as far as La Liga goes. Ronaldo dismissed any notions that he dosen't perform in big games too. So Puke that's two home now. Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid. AC Milan and Man City to follow.

Puyol has always been the weak link. A labourer in a team of craftsmen.
Anyone know when is the last time Barca lost two in a row?
