Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
A great Leitrim supporter owns the tail of a horse called Bayan who runs tomorrow in the 2.40 at
Cheltenham. He's near the head of the market @ 12/1 currently with Powers and the horse is reported tonight as "bulling for the hill".
I've just had €10 e/w there and followed it with €30 on Sire deGrugy in the following race. I think SDG is a
stone cold cert and great value @ 3/1.
I'd like to thank Bocerty for allowing me use the Forum credit card to place these wagers...

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
Promoted Tipperary are 6/4 (Powers) to beat Wicklow on Sunday. Is this a mis-print or is there something I'm not getting here. They have home venue and Wicklow have nothing to play for.
Granted ,they may rest a few lads for the CP gig, but a county like Tipp, on the march, surely have a rake of young lads eager to make a name for themselves.
My PP account has a balance of €158. Should I have a cut at it?

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
I have a multiplicity of bets half-up following on today's results. All bets still standing as I type.
I need Liverpool to beat the Hammers, Tipperary and Wexford to win in the football. Roscommon U-21's (-5) kickstarted the action, Cavan (-3) were another boost but it's all down, basically, to Tipperary footballers for good dollars.

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
Gobsh1tes....leading 0-22 to 1-12 the game ebbing to the inevitable end when......
Wickla rose 3 green flags.
On the brighter side, the strawberry pickers and Brendan's red army salvaged the bones of €200 for me.
But those dopey Stonethrowers cost me another €2/300.

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
I'm in a lather of sweat here in the European elections M/N/W. North of €400 at stake on the Ming/McGuinness/Carthy/Harkin accum. The position is now that there are 3 up but.....
Harkin ahead of the Cope by 2586.
Carthys surplus (5756) being distributed.
70/30 SF transfers going toward Fianna Fáil =
Cope + 4029 - Harkin + 1726. Difference = 2303.
Not enough to bridge 2586, but tight.
I'm hoping for a rake of non-transferrables.
I love election counts. The ancient Romans were fond of those competitive sports but this is better.

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
Excellent - eventually. My sources tell me that there wasn't a stray preference in any of the papers. They run a tight ship in Castlebar obviously. I was slightly fearful that a oul' stray box from Cope territory might just be found un-counted at the appropriate time. Clearly these days have passed.
For those with an interest in such odd issues, there's a confirmed report of a box of votes being found back in the day when Tom Nolan finally ousted Jim Gibbons in CW/KK by discovering the now infamous "Rahanna Box".
Pat the Cope replaced by Ming the Dope........

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
Got Bubba at 11/2 last night in running while Casey was stretching his lead.
Bubba has done me a few good turns in the past so here,s wishing
Seems to be one the players that if he is in the mix after 2 days he is a very good option - seems to keep the head. The problem with backing him early in the week is a lot of courses just don't suit him.

Lucky 7's not do lucky in golf. Since read that bubba has failed to close from last 5 54 hole leads.
Internet betting and Saturday night vino are not a well made match unless you are Paddy Power
Elsewhere lumped on Argentina for WC.
Otherwise Dublin at evens are very short price to retain Sam.
Which presents reasonable value on your pick of the rest

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
Tarfasha from the Dermot Weld stable is strongly fancied for tomorrows Irish Oaks. This info was whispered into Boxty's ear this evening by a jockey who works there....How much more info do you need....
Currently 5/2 with PP.
