samin10 wrote:This is a bet that i have tried 3 or 4 times and it has always only been one fixture has let me down by one goal. 4 draws in soccer, pays a minimum of 80-1. First day of the season is always full of draws so here goes.
Blackburn v Man City
Spurs v Liverpool
Everton v Arsenal
Bolton v Sunderland.
Obviously not an easy bet to get up but i think there is a lot of tough games to call especially as its first day of the season.
That is a bet I used to do a lot when I was younger. Odds used to be min 132/1 and I got 4 one of the first times I did it! But never after!
I used to do variations of it Samin - take any 4 from 8 selections (70 bets) - stick 20p a line (£14 bet). If you get 4 out of 8 you usually click about £20 - if you get 5 it means 5 combos, 6 = 15 (I think), 7 right is 35 combos and 8 is 70!!! Got 5 and 6 a few times!

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
Was that picking teams to win or draws? International qualifiers is good for picking the draws, if the odds are short for the draw in those it normally means the away team is clearly playing for a draw. Tim Cahill scored in 92nd minute last year to beat my bet. Had 3 draws up, then that fecker scored in 92nd to beat the fourth one.

80/1 is minimum odds Boc - invariably it will be more.

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
Loyal2TheRoyal tips 200/1 winner?
What are the chances of this please?
The Juddmonte International tomorrow. Four runners:
Sea The Stars 1/3
Mastercraftsman 9/4
Georgebernardshaw 200/1
Set Sail 200/1
Betting says its a two horse race and indeed it probably is but I will be backing Georgebernardshaw tomorrow (call me insane if you want). Here's why:
GBS is a sprinter. He is a fast horse, certainly as fast as the top two in the betting. I do not see how it will benefit Mastercraftsman tomorrow if they go a break neck gallop. The stamina doubts about Mastercraftsman and the fact that Sea The Stars will settle no problemo make me think a crawl is more likely. This will turn the race into a sprint. The slower they go early on, the more chance GBS has.
Secondly, most of GBS's best runs have come on soft to heavy ground and his knee action would seem to suggest he prefers slower ground. But he has also run well on fast ground and I do not believe conditions will be a problem.
Thirdly GBS is a 4yo. Why on earth would Aidan O'Brien keep this horse in training. He sold Zulu Chief, Kingdom of Naples, King of Rome last year, yet he kept GBS? Why? Surely he was showing enough at home for them to keep him in training. He has always been highly though of and Aidan has always spoken nicely of him. If he can do it at home, then he can do it on the track. You just need to learn how to get the best from him/
In short, 200/1 is too big. He has 27lbs to find with Sea The Stars (about 40L-45L over this distance). The betting reflects this, however with only the four runners and my theory that they should go slowly, then a margin like that is near impossible. Therefore making 200/1 way way too big.
Sea The Stars will more than likely win doing handstands but wouldn't it be great if Georgebernardshaw won?

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
Anyone looking for a bit of value and a chance to lay off some of it further along the line could do worse than dive in onto Portlaoise to win the Leinster club c/ship and indeed the A/I itself.
Granted they haven't won the Laois final yet (in it) but an informed source tells me they are absolutely flying and will be as short as 1/10 to triumph over Arles/Kilcruise in the final opening up a Leinster campaign.
Perhaps some of you punters/online experts can figure out a price for these events and post the likely SP here.
