Mayo vs Westmeath, March 8th (relegation match?)
What does everyone think is gonna happen in this game. already it looks like it could be an important one for the relegation dogfight. If Mayo win then i beleive Westmeath to be more or less gone but if Westmeath win then its all still up in the air. What ye all think?
Any of ye from Westmeath heading to the game?

Mayo to win pulling up. Both teams will be involved in the relegation battle though.

ya RMD, id have to agree with ya there. cant see us getting up to too much against Kerry or Tyrone. maybe against Galway because thats usually a tight enough game regardless of how good/bad either team is playing. we need to be winning our home games against Westmeath & Dublin if we wanna survive.
longest serving Div1 team at the mo, we wanna keep that record going

Didn't realise that Mayo were the longest in Div 1.
[Was just thinking at the weekend that it was hard to believe that Mayo and Donegal were in the league final 2 years ago. A shadow of both teams]

yep, been in Div1 since at least 2000. longer in the division than any other team. Tyrone a close second i believe. not that it matters for much when you consider that we held on barely last year and look like doing the same this year!!
i know, who woulda thought that the two league finalists from 2007(and a good final at that)were 2 of the 3 favs to go down in 2009
