Except the team is now 3 years older (and even in 2008 they were past their best).

How does one distinguish a "strolling" team from a "poor" team?

It's possible, as Saturday night games away from home are never easy, but I'd be very surprised if we were beaten.
Longford have some good forwards, but I'd like to think that our backs will be able to tie them up. Getting scores is Tyrone's problem, and that means that the opposition will always have a chance if they can score a couple of goals. Still though, I'd expect a win by a few points.

Re: Tyrone GT news
Mickey has certainly showed he wont bow to the pressure from media fans etc and has named virtually the same team that started against Donegal, the only change seeing Penrose getting the nod over Mulligan, possibly for free taking duties one would imagine!!! Cant see O'Neill starting as hamstring strains dont clear up that quick. Interestingly it seems Mugsys story about Sean O' Neill quitting the panel also seems to be true as he isnt named amongst the subs and i also noticed Dermy Carlins name does not appear which is also a surprise!!!

Longford 3/1 with Paddy Power - might be worth a punt....

Not at all shocked with this selection but don´t expect Steven O´Neill to start, Mulligan in from the start I would imagine. No Red Sean on the panel this time round either - Information correct again

Re: Tyrone GT news
I can speak from miserable experience...DO NOT underestimate Longford.
Only thing I would say though is that this whole idea of them being giant-killers has been given a lot more attention this year by the media. This will provide a nice incentive for Tyrone.
I think there could be a possible scare for Tyrone but would expect them to win this by at least 3 (taking into consideration the Saturday night timing and venue).
Pearse Park is a bit of a cauldron when there's a good crowd in it but wouldn't expect the experienced Tyrone lads to be overly fazed by it.

Well there's nine teams left with a chance - if we're to follow the last three year's trends. And Tyrone look the strongest of the nine. And Mickey Harte knows how to win an All-Ireland from here.

he seen something P by the looks of the starting 15 which showed several changes from the lineup named for the match programme. Dermot Carlin started in place of Martin Swift due to an injury to the latter. Justin McMahon replaced Davy Harte, Colm Cavanagh instead of Brian Dooher, Kyle Coney came in for Stephen O’Neill and finally Aidan Cassidy for Kevin Hughes.
3 of the changes were forced changes as Swift O'Neill and Hughes were all carrying knocks - the omission of Davy is probably the most telling of the lot, Mickey has finally realised (3 years after everyone else) that Davy hasnt been cutting the mustard lately. I dont know were Justy started but if it was at no5 that was a pretty strong half back line.
The big plus of the night was the form of Peter Harte, against Donegal he could do no right, tonight he could do no wrong hitting 7 points 6 of which came from play. Mark Donnelly also chipped in with 1-3 which will do his confidence no harm at all.

Re: Tyrone GT news
I've also heard that rumour Loyal but haven't received any firm confirmation yet. Hopefully its a bit like the red Sean walkout a week or two ago. A wee talk with Mickey to reassure him that he was still part of his plans was enough to coax him back.
Mugsy is probably a bit peaved that others have started ahead of him when in fairness he wasn't playing all that bad. Donnelly, Dooher and McGuigan should all have been subbed before him during the Donegal game. With Stephen O'Neill not fit for Longford he probably felt that he was an automatic selection but dont think he was used at all. I cannot comment on the Longford game as I was out of the country on holiday and didn't get to view how Coney, Donnelly, Penrose etc faired
