Stink bombs? Pa.
How about a full fledged 'mud war' between two year groups?
The farm field behind the school field had just been ploughed up and there were frozen lumps of mud everywhere. Our year are happily minding their own business when some ******* from the year below starts chucking lumps of mud at us. Naturally, we have to defend ourselves and so the fight continues every lunchtime for 3 days.
The best moment there was the lad who declared "wouldn't it hurt so much if one of them hit you in the boll...OWWWWWWWWWW" just as a flying lump of mud hit him cruelly below the belt.
Happy days.
When there was snow all the lads from our year and the year above us were having a huge snow ball fight and the teachers were too scared to go out and stop them so we missed like an hour of school and everyone came in soaked. A stink bombs are funny when ya throw them down the first year corridor in the morning when they're doing their lockers, at lunch when they're doing their lockers and after school when they're doing their lockers. I also saw a couple of lads in my year put one of the first years straight into the bin. Last year when there was a skip outside of our area a few bright sparks realized it was exactly the same width as the door frame and they wedged it up against the door so we were all stuck outside. Some of the teachers tried to make us hop over the skip but that idea was quickly abandoned when we pointed out that hopping is difficult in skirts. So that was some more time wasted

Re: School days!
The big thing with first years at Woldgate is 'hedging'. A medium sized hawthorn hedge lines the paths around the site. For years and years the young 'uns moving up to secondary school have been warned about the infamous 'hedgings' (i.e. getting shoved into the hedge) they will receive from the older folk. This of course happens very rarely but it still scares the **** out of anyone new to school.
In recent years, the hedge is best known for the hilarious antics of one lad who attempted to jump over it at its highest point. The set up was simple, Sami and three or four others were standing nearby said hedge when your man comes up and asks what we're up to.
"Just jumped over the hedge there mate" says one (talking utter rubbish of course), "we've all done it, bet you can't!"
Eager to impress, and under the belief that the act is possible and has already been completed by those watching, the lad takes a large run up before spectacularly failing to hurdle the hedge, going in head first about half way up and coming out looking like, well...he'd just been pulled through a hedge backwards.

Re: School days!
That sounds like our first year baitings They rarely happen. But kick the bottle has started already and our year seem to have taken over from the sixth years of last year and I'm just waiting for the fist few brave young lads to attempt to kick it.
We have a system down the main corridor like a road where you always walk on the right, and apparently the silly people yesterday forgot to inform the little people of that and they were walking down the left side at the busies time on the corridor today (lunch) and some of them started running which is bad enough but then they just stopped and everyone walked into the back of the front of the person infront of them. One of the fifth years who was walking infront of me went up and literally picked one of them up and put them down in a bag rack and everyone started wetting themselved laughing. Was good
And Sami come on we all know you could really jump the hedge I want a youtube video of it btw.

I look back fondly on the days I have spent at Woldgate 'College' - so called after receiving 'specialist arts status' in 2005ish (I have never come across anything specialist or arty about the place the whole time I've been there). It's a big school for rural Yorkshire - 1500 pupils and about 250 in my year group. Everyone knew each other and some great laughs were had over the years. I could write a huge post with the endless anecdotes I have from that place but right now I can't be arsed
Got that sounds like a lovely school There's 190ish in my year and I'd struggle to name them all. Like I know most people but there's still the odd one who'd say hi to me and I'd just be like "Hey!" (do I know them..?). It's never less than interesting though My class is no famous throughout the school, Class Wilde. They did a very good job in naming my class so accurately after the great Oscar Wilde himself as we have been living up to our name (throwing desks, hanging out of the ceiling, dancing on tables and making our tutor cry countless times) for the past two years and hopefully that shall continue. Sure everyone knows the Junior Cert means nothing so why concentrate
Theres 55 in my year!
