Re: Dublin v Wexford U21 Leinster Final
only caught the second half of this game - Wexford had the upper hand until about 10 minutes to go when a Dublin goal turned the game on its head and they never really looked back after that - Wexford added a few points but the Dubs seemed to have a habit of cancelling out every Wexford score with one of their own.
As i say i only saw the second half but from what i saw the best player on the field was the Wexford CHB but the Dublin number 7 picked up the MOTM award. The Dublin captain also proceeded to shake the cup so hard he broke one of the handles of it, still i suppose its not every day a Dub gets to pick up a meaningful trophy so we'll forgive him on that score, I'm sure JC knows a welder or two round the capital who have time on their hands to do a bit of repair work.

Excellent game. Dublin kept pinning Wexford back to level but couldn't head them. Then at 13-11 we got the vital goal followed by a lovely point. That just about killed it but the second goal shortly after (with some superb build up play) ended the contest. Yep Boc I thought the Wexford 6 was outstanding - a really good player. There were some lovely points from both teams and it was a really entertaining match. Very good crowd there too and a lively atmosphere with the match played in the right spirit. 2 U21 Leinsters in four years - not bad going in a province that has the Cats!
ps The only welders I know work for H&W.

Really enjoyed this performance tonight well done to Dublin and all involved.Unlucky Wexford you pushed us to the pin of our collar..Man of the match was either Shorey or Daire Plunkett ..What really impressed me with Dublin, was they didn't panic and just pulled away in the last 10....Were on a roll in the minor 1/4 ..U 21 semi and i game away from the 1/4 in the seniors....With a bit of luck we could grab the U 21

Andrew Shore Davidstown/Courtnacuddy a club mate of a certain Mr Jacobs.
Young lad as well 19 I'm nearly 100% sure.
Was dropped against Carlow for "discipline reasons" wonder if Miss Tate was involved there as well?
This lad was a member of the Wexford senior hurling panel for the last two years, and scored 18 points for his club in a championship match (adult 2 years ago albeit junior grade )
Jury still seems to be out on him though, all I can say is I meet him a few times and he's a quite lad

Wexford were the better team in the 1st half and should have won if it wasnt for the loose defending. Our full forward line up could not get any proper progress as the Dubliners back line up was just too strong.

Made new rule after he left the chairman spot for their to be a maximum term....i would regard him to be the patron of Wexford GAA at the minute.

Rule was made before he left, it was passed in the year before he finished.
