Antrim V Carlow
Right lads, big qualifying game this week in casement park, have to say ive seen antrim twice seen the poor league campaign they seem a lot quicker and sharper than in recent years, with the likes of Karl McKeegan going into the full forward line a new demension has been opened within the team.
I have to be honest i havent seen carlow since last years league when they drew with antrim in casement funnily enough, but they seem quick passionate and play with a lot of flair and can win this game if the are on form, its great to see them running it in the top flight.
Heres hoping my own county can pull it off and send us through to phase two but should carlow win I know ill have a team to support in the 2nd phase!
Whats everyone think?

Re: Antrim V Carlow
Carlow must be fairly impressive to have beaten Laois who looked good during last years championship. Hurling in Carlow seems to be improving we have seen that over the last 4 years with their performances in the Christy Ring cup. I still think Antrim should win this one, they have that bit more experience at this level that should prove the difference between the two teams.

Re: Antrim V Carlow
Carlow under no pressure, Antrim are.
Carlow have achieved there goal for the year win a championship match and avoid any relegation issues (they would of been sent straight back down).
this has the possibilities of been a good high scoring game

Re: Antrim V Carlow
Antrim still have a few players who are better than anyone Carlow have but it depends how many of the Antrim team are on holiday at this time of the year.
If Antrim have a full squad, they will win.

Will there be many in Casement for the double header.
Where would ye recommend to sit/stand to get a good view?

On the bank, that's where the real fans go.
I expect a fair crowd, but more for the football.

Re: Antrim V Carlow
Serious congratulations to carlow.
They looked the better team, had more supporters at a ground hundreds of miles away, and really oif anyone deserves to get better at hurling it is Carlow, adcertainly not us.
The team rallied well, but the support, for a double header, lucky if there were 10,000 there, and as I said a sizeable number from Carlow, and a fair few from Kildare.
I was sitting beside a large Carlow following, and my heart went out to them.

Thanks patrique, we had a great day in Casement. We had some support up there alright. Very disappointed. Neil McManus was fantastic today. The ref was shocking and we'll meet again.

Neil Mcmanus is a serious talent and Watson (no:14) today should be.
However the county is not fully behind the team, and is it surprising that two of the better players are on holiday?
The other two Neil's, McGarry and McAulay were missed and so is Aaron Graffin, although Ciaran McGourty has never let us down at number 2, but Graffin is a great defender.
Carlows day will come
