No Loyal - I don't think so. Would you see Joe Mc in the same mould as Donaghy ie a target man? Dublin forwards problems are twofold - 1. a lack of them cos of this BS of pulling people back into defence and 2. mobility. When Dublin forwards run at defences they can be lethal. When they stand static in a line down the middle of the pitch they can be lethal .... to the supporters.
Can you clarify what you mean re Joe Mc - are you asking for just a stocky (not very mobile) target man at 14? If so do you think yourself we need that and why.

In a different age Joe was a wonderful player.
Nowadays they would have him fit, aned he would still be wonderful.

Don't think Joe is the answer to be honest, He's let himself go a bit over this last couple of years. Perhaps Vinny Murphy should be approached.

A player in the mold of Shane Lennon might suit them.
Even has a Dublin SFC medal.

I remember watching Joe up in Mobhi Rd one evening - a bit after his Dub career had finished. He was on the line beside these massive trees - but his thighs were bigger! The man had some power.
