The Gooch. I love to watch this lad play. Surely no explanation is necessary.

Colm Cooper as well.

I'd put Colin Corkery here one of the most naturally talented footballers we'll ever see.

Gooch for me too. A joy to watch - unless you're a Dub! Looks a bit on the flimsy side but looks can be deceiving. His longevity and consistency make him a definite in this XV I think.

Re: 13. Right full forward
Surprised that no-one has mentioned Mikey Sheehy, Colm O'Rourke, or even Mickey Linden who was a phenomenal corner forward for nearly 20 years.
Part of the problem is where to fit everyone in. Say, as most people have, you go for Gooch, then how do you fit Fitzgerald/Sheehy/O'Rourke/Connor/Linden/Canavan/Egan/Keaveney/Liston/Frank McGuigan/Joyce (and those just off the top of my head) into the 2 slots that remain?

Re: 13. Right full forward
Funnily, something about Cooper unsettles me. I can't put my finger on it so I'm caught between O'Rourke, Mike Sheehy and Jimmy Barry Murphy.
Colm O'Rourke for me then ...
