Is it time the good people of GT had themselves a new fuhrer?
Re: Is RMD asleep at the wheel?
Evidently the legend that is RMD is back online, fully equipped with appropriate avatar....
How's things with you RMD??...
Your firm hand has been badly missed of late, as some forumites have indulged in what has been percieved to be overly vigorous banter.
I've nominated Loyal for a Moderatership and given the impending clashes ahead, feel he would be a good choice, given his impartiality...
What say you??..

It would seem that this is the case....

Parousia - Spends this time of year skiing in Val D-Isere with a few fellow Leinster rugby season ticket holders
Jon Smith - Cramming for mock exams
Loyal - Post valentines day blues
Bocerty - New Wain won't sleep unless its in the car - so he bundles the clan into the back of the Mondeo and drives round the Sperrin mountains every night from 2.30am-7.00 am
Boxty - as per the local weekly - there was a turf cutter meeting in the commercial hotel in Ballinamore last night - Can't see Boxty missing an occasion like this
NSG - Gone to Athens to show some solidarity - Ready to start the great European revolution
TC- Spending his time making sure he stays on the right side of whatever supplier gives him those annual trips to Presbury Park
B&W - Has moved on from Audit school and has found himself a real job- currently up to his oxters but full of Newbie vigour and trying to prove to year end auditors that he is the best financial controller they have ever dealt with - and has an audit file all wrapped up in a pink bow - Next year he will cop on and will start ignoring them

Not quite OMAR. I had to head for Dublin Thursday night to bring herself for a couple of scans that were scheduled for Friday morning.
All went well as far as I can ascertain, but the local Medico has yet to pass judgement..Her B/P got a bit of a lift on the journey up tho'.
Boxty is cruising along at a steady 70mph near Maynooth and passes a gimp in a Fiat who was doing 68mph (or so) in the outside lane.
He starts flashing lights, blowing horns and waving his fists at me. I gave him the one finger reply and jogged on.
He passes me out, swerves in and indicates "pull in"..No problem says I to myself, following him onto the hard shoulder.
As I hopped out (well lumbered really) I grabbed a trusty hatchet from behind the drivers seat* and stepped forward to see what this leper's problem was. Whether it was the hatchet, the beard or the cap, this bollocks came to his senses fairly lively, apologised for his behaviour and fooked off sharpish....
*I'd always carry the oul' hatchet in the vehicle when going to Dublin, I can't think why. Opening the boot to look for the wheelbrace is too time consuming where an occasion may arise where speed is of the essence. Boxty believes in the bi ullamh motto.

Tragedy strikes on M4 - all round do-gooder - Fundraiser and seven time winner of Kildare man of the year Jimmy Doyle has tragicly passed away. It is understood that Mr. Doyle was traveling on the M4 near Maynooth when a ongoing medical condition resulted in seizure. Mr. doyle was incapacited and is understood to have signalled wildly and desparately at passing drivers to assist. If Mr. Doyle had been able to attract a "samaratin" to place 20 mgs of medication he kept in his glove capartment under his tongue it is likely he would have survived
Mr Doyle is suvived by the 15 Orphans he adopted, 37 homeless dogs and 627 Haitain earthquake survivors that he was providing shelter for.

Story lost all credibility here ... a Fiat doing 68mph. I used to think Fiat had a clever marketing strategy by placing their cars along the hard shoulders of motorways at regular intervals ... until I realised they were all broken down .....

An interesting point, the point of which I've chosen to ignore.
The past month has seen the Boxty clan have their best times of all time....A miracle baby boy for a new grandson and a few bits of other good tidings to boot....
All in all, it has been the best month of my life.....Honest to God!!!!!
