Summer plans!
So, what are your plans for the Summer?
I'm off for the next 3 months I plan on going to Mayo to work on the farm, head up to Sligo(beautiful place near Ben Bulben) and stay with a few cousins. I've the bus tickets booked to Croke Park for the 22nd of August I'm doing a first aid course, climbing the Reek in July, doing work with Cancer Care West, playing in a golf tournament in July etc.
Yes, the Summer has officially arrived! Nothing more peaceful than long runs through the countryside though I love the beginning of Summer, such freshness and newness in nature-trees full of leaves, air smelling of snap dragons, sweet pea you name it! Furthermore, it seems that this Summer might actually be a dry, warm one

Re: Summer plans!
Why not Jayo? Those days all booked up in your work because that's when the rest of Dublin will be leaving?
Royal Girl is now on her summer holidays and has begun packing for her trip to the country for three weeks from Saturday Planning to do lots of sitting around with her friends, playing a bit of hurling and just having a bit of craic in general. Scary to think that this time next year I'll be doing my junior cert and going into fifth year. Feeling very old.

Re: Summer plans!
My summer begins this time next week, off to the Download festival at Dononington for 4 days of beer and loud music, AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine and Aerosmith here I come!
After that, I think I'm going to Wales for a long weekend, not my idea, my mates . . . and the fools want to walk up Snowdon. I say what's wrong with Mayo and Croagh Patrick?
Hoping to get a week in Europe somewhere beyond that and the now annual September trip to the motherland to watch one of the All Ireland Finals, sounds better than it is, I never get a ticket but it's nice to be in a pub in Ireland when they're on!
Other than that work and the tipster competitions

Re: Summer plans!
Jayo, I might hold you to that! Although after the price of a pint in Dublin last year (to be fair it wasn't so much the price of one pint but the accumulated price at the end of the weekend!) myself and my mate decided if it wasn't Galway in the Final we'd head out West and watch it there this year, most likely Galway but maybe Clifden or somewhere like that. Still tickets are tickets so we can shove the plans
