A long summer for some ....
I see Old and BE and Samin on there and me heart goes out to them - and Niamh and MMM and Jim - and Loyal and RMD on Monday! Not out of July yet and nothing to look forward to in a GAA context. If they have a U2 ticket that will be the nearest they will get to Croker this summer!
What do ye do to pass the time? I always find jigsaws therapeutic - very calming and fulfilling. For those outside the Pale there is always the option of a trip to Dublin Zoo - a great way to while away a day and meet the family. Or the Guinness Hop Store - fall into a vat and drink your way out - and excellent way to drown one's sorrows.
Ornithology too can be considered - nothing like admiring the flight of the roseate tern at the mud flats on the Boyne. Or a bit of charity work perhaps - nothing anybody likes better than being approached by a far-too-happy person in a blue bib looking for you to take out a direct debit from your already overdrawn account. Niamh might be the only success here as pretty girls tend to do this as distinct from grisled, gnarled males.
I have no difficulty with any of ye rowing in behind the Dubs though! Now I don't want ye taking the tickets but feel free to sport and support the blue. Feel free to invoke bleedin', righ', wha' and jaysus into your everyday lingo - feel free to add an 'O' onto every family members name - feel free to drink Dutch Gold! Feel free to share the special experience that 2009 wil bring ...

If Armagh win their quarter final in the minors i will be in Croke Park for the semi. Wont be going to watch a mis-match like Tyrone and Dublin anyway. Armagh seniors will not be in Croke Park this summer, Dublin seniors wont be in it in September. Do the Dubs not like playing in September? Maybe they know the summer is gone and their fair weather supporters wont come out to support them. I listen to enough Dubs trying to satisfy their ego's on here without going to Croke Park to listen to another tit.

The Minors won't have as much prominence this year with Jacko's passing

Four of the regular posters remain. This is getting to be quite an elite group. But come September, there shall be one poster still standing. His name Loyal2TheRoyal. Unless there is a sudden increase in the number of Meath posters before then.
