Re: Dublin GG News
Dublin make one change to their team for Saturday night’s Allianz NFL Division 1 clash against Cork in Croke Park (7.30).
Paul Flynn comes into the side at right half-forward in place of Bryan Cullen, who owing to a back injury is limited to the number of games he can play in a short period of time. The team will be captained by Paul Casey.
Injury update
Ger Brennan damaged ankle ligaments last month against Meath in the O’Byrne Shield final and will be out for another week.
Philly McMahon has a foot injury and will be unavailable until early March.
Bryan Cullen has a back injury which needs monitoring and limits the number of games he can play in a short period.
Ross McConnell will be unavailable for at least four more weeks after his recovery from a hip injury.
Eamon Fennell has a similar injury and is about four weeks away from training fully.
Paul Brogan resumed training this week but will not be match fit until mid-March.
Paul Conlon, James Brogan and Hugh Gill are on the road back from groin injuries treated over the winter. Paul Conlon is back training two weeks but is effectively doing his pre-season training now. James Brogan commenced full training this week.
Nicky Devereux has torn muscles in his shoulder and is a month away from playing.
No Kilmacud Crokes players were considered for this game due to their involvement in the All-Ireland Club Championship.
DUBLIN (SF v Cork) - Stephen Cluxton; Alan Hubbard, Seán Murray, Michael Fitzsimons; Declan Lally, James McCarthy, Paul Casey (Captain); Michael Darragh Macauley, Denis Bastick; Paul Flynn, Kevin McManamon, Diarmuid Connolly; Tomás Quinn, Eoghan O’Gara, Bernard Brogan.
CORK (SF v Dublin): P O’Shea; R Carey, J O’Sullivan, M Shields; D O’Sullivan, P Kissane, C O’Driscoll; A O’Connor, A Walsh; P O’Neill, P Kelly, F Goold; D Goulding, C O’Neill, D O’Connor

Too true Loyal. That's the general feeling around the country at the minute. There's a Dublin fella over on the HS who started a (deadly serious) thread wondering about his ticket for the final already..

The highly respected Holymoly no less, JS - a former poster on this site. Not a man to get carried away with a Dublin team.
Dublin do look impressive though and they have so many options in so many positions. With Tyrone now merely embers and Kerry's rebuilding process continuing, Dublin have emerged as Cork's nearest challengers, a side so many of us said were lucky to win an All-Ireland last year.
Of course, there's the old adage of playing your best football too soon but certainly, Dublin look the number one county in Ireland right now.

mullins - hip
A few years ago we had the Boom Boom Boom Let Me Her Ya Say Jayo tune for the summer. We now desperately need another ditty to bring the Hill alive - and honour King Bernard.
I am proposing Rihanna's 'What's My Name' and we'll keep it simple.
Ooh na na, what’s his name
Ooh na na, what’s his name
Ooh na na, what’s his name
whats his name, whats his name
Bernard is the best we've seen in a long long time
In a long long time
Oooooh oooooh oooh oh oh
Oooooh oooooh oooh oh oh
Will be a summer hit! Lets get this out there and start practising!

Not having that mullins. We'll borrow a bus from Summerhill nearer the time and take it down off Pearse Street where the low bridges are. That'll sort it.
