Sorry Jim he has taking over the U16 and U17 deveolpment squads...Great to see so many of the great players of the 90s- getting involved in the underage structures and development squads..
How much does he charge?

I would like to thank everbody involved with the Dublin Gaa,for giving us a season to remember in so many different ways..I can honestly say Dublin Gaa fans were giving a rollercoaster ride by their team..It will always be remembered as the 1 we let slip through our fingers, i can't remember where we ever had a better chance to win Sam..No point in blaming players for the way the game finished the other day..Afterall these players give up their life to play in the blue of Dublin..While im posting rubbish on the internet these lads are giving it everything under the watchful eyes of JC ,some players have suffered horrendous injuries in the last 6 months for their love of their sport..Roll on 2011 let the hype begin..Its special being a Dub..
Well said M

Anthony Daly is set to remain as manager of the Dublin hurling team for at least the next two years.
The Clareman, who took on the role after the 2008 Championship, will continue in the role after his position was ratified by the Dublin County Committee for 2011 and 2012.
Daly's selection team of Ciarán Hetherton (Craobh Chiaráin), Richie Stakelum (Kilmacud Crokes) and Vincent Teehan (Ballyboden/St. Enda's) were also reappointed

Re: Dublin GG News
A very experimental Dublin side will take to the field for this Sunday’s O’Byrne Cup first round clash with Westmeath in Cusack Park, Mullingar (2.0).
Owing to injuries, players being college-tied, and the Kilmacud Crokes contingent being excused from ‘county duty’ as they continue their preparations for their AIB Leinster Club SFC final against Rhode (January 23) Dublin manager Pat Gilroy has to plan without 28 individuals for Sunday’s duel with the midlanders.
Three players did, however, start in last August’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final defeat to Cork – goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton, centre-back Ger Brennan, and full-forward Eoghan O’Gara.
The starting 15 contains four players who were part of the Dublin U21 All-Ireland winning team in 2010 – the pacey Nicky Devereux, Seán Murray, Darragh Nelson and Darragh Stapleton – the first three named will man the full-back line. Murray, Nelson and Stapleton are all eligible for the U21s again this season. The Dubs begin the defence of the Leinster and All-Ireland U21 crowns against Meath in Páirc Tailteann, Navan, on Wednesday night, February 23.
The powerfully built Colm Murphy (St Jude’s) will partner Kevin Bonner at midfield while up front Dean Kelly, who impressed in last Saturday’s Evening Herald/Dublin Bus Dubs Stars game, will inject pace and industry into the half-forward line.
The subs for Sunday’s game in Mullingar will be decided upon closer to the weekend.

Jeeze beaten by a point in Mullingar .... by Westmeath!!! Surely Gilroys position is now untenable. I suppose we still have DIT and UCD though. They got handy draws - Wexford and Meath ....

Look at the positives JC. At least the players will have experienced being booed by their fans - that will make the more accustomed to it for later in the year.

More important report from the match
it seems that McCauley was decked out in a snood and some other form of thermal assistance despite the fact
that it was the mildest night since halloween

I heard he wore this attire so that he could stash his wallet, cash, etc in it. Wise move as it turned out.

Last 8 of the O'Byrne Cup looks more like the Sigerson Cup! My money's on UCD ...
Westmeath v DIT
Kildare v DCU
Carlow v UCD
Louth v Wicklow.
Dubs to play Wexford in the Shield - how ignominious! Even though I am not into winning 'Shields' (you can't drink out of them!) -we had better triumph or heads will roll!!

McCauley with a snood, and tights too?? What happened to the days when the Mac's long hair was the least manly thing in GAA?

After a couple of fine performances Dublin find themselves in their first ever O'Byrne Shield final! many great players who have worn the blue shirt do not have an O'Byrne Shield medal in their overflowing trophy cabinet! The current crop can gain their place in immorality immortalilty and join the likes of Laois, Longford and Carlow as winners of this illustrious trophy. Can't wait for Saturday!

Re: Dublin GG News
Congratulations to JC and Mullins on their O'Byrne Saucer win tonight. Unfortunely, Meath fell marginally short of the une, deux, trois, trifecta over Dublin with three competitive wins in a row. But fair play to the boys in Blue, they held strong. A lively game for so early in the year.
