did any of yous when yous finished college actually got a job and stuck at what yous went to college for , very few of my friends did when they left college they just went into different careers

Qualified as an astronaut. A few people call me a spacer now so I guess the answer's no.

Yes. Still in same company that I joined leaving college (only 4 years ago!)

I qualified as a silviculturist (Degree in forestry management)...Between the months of June to Sept of 196XXX I thought I'd draw the dole and duly attended the relevant office. It went a bit like this:

Hatchet: Whaddya do?
Boxty: Silviculturist.
Hatchet: Where dy'a hope to get work?
Boxty: Sahara Forest.
Hatchet: Sahara Desert ya' thick lump.
Boxty: Whaddya mean Desert?
Hatchet: It's a desert ya' clown.....
Boxty: Sighs!!!! Last years grads must have gotten there before me...

I know several people who graduated with arts degrees and went on to draw the dole for a considerable period..
