Bernard Dunne
What are his chances?
Could he make it an unbelievable day for Irish sports?

Re: Bernard Dunne
It would be great to see, and would round off one of the greatest Irish sporting days in history. Maybe the grand slam will spur him on and inspire him, if he cares about it of course!
But the other fella is favourite and rightly so. He's bigger and has a significant reach advantage. He's quick and all he has to do is stay on his toes and pick off Dunne with jabs. I really do hope Dunne wins and it would be fantastic to see, but I'd be a bit surprised.

The speed of Cordoba is unreal. He is lightning.
Will take an unbelievable performance from Dunne to win it.

Re: Bernard Dunne
I think Cordoba is leading by two points. Made that last fight 10 7 in favour of Cordoba.

What a fight! Well done Bernard! What a day for Irish sport!
I'm glad I've been proved wrong!
Hope Cordoba is alright though, maybe the ref should have stopped it that little bit earlier.

Re: Bernard Dunne
Well done Bernard. A smashing fight.
I did not think he'd win it but he proved the doubters wrong in no uncertain terms.
Fair play Cordoba, he didn't have to come over here to fight but he did. He was outclassed all the same.

March 21st 2009 has been an incredible day for Irish sport!!!
Really makes you proud to be Irish!!!
Forget your soccer teams winning leagues and champions leagues or your american football teams winning the superbowl, this is what being Irish is all about!!!
Is Éireannach mé agus táim an bhrodúil anocht!!!
Agus tá mé ar meisce!!!

Re: Bernard Dunne
Think Cordoba will be ok please God! Can't fault ref - it wasn't two heavyweights puching lights out and I think the Panamian was just exhausted - no huge heavy hits.
But a great night to be Irish no doubt - fcuk the recession!
