Zarkava confirmed in foal to Sea The Stars
By Bloodstock
World Staff 4:02PM 23 MAR 2010
THE Aga Khan's brilliant Zarkava has been confirmed in foal at the
15-day stage to Sea The Stars, prompting Ladbrokes to reveal a number of
special bets surrounding the resulting foal and others from the first
crop of the Tsui family's outstanding colt.

Ladbrokes now go 50/1 from 100/1 for a three-year-old by Sea The
Stars out of Zarkava to triumph in the 2014 Arc. They also go just 4/1
that Sea The Stars will sire a British Classic winner in 2014.
David Williams of Ladbrokes said: "There's still an incredibly long
way to go but this is wonderful news for bloodstock and Flat racing
fans. If results hinged purely on breeding we'd already be paying out on
the 2014 Arc result."
Zarkava produced her first foal last month, a filly by 2004 Arc
winner and leading young sire Dalakhani.
Her dam, Zarkasha, has also been recently confirmed in foal to Sea
The Stars. Other notables mares in foal to the multiple Group 1 winner
include Lush Lashes, Alpine Rose and Asmara, the dam of Azamour.
Sea The Stars is standing his first season at Gilltown Stud in
Ireland for €85,000.

2000guineas, Epsom Derby, Eclipse, Juddmonte International, Champion Stakes and the Arc.
He's been spending his retirement getting jiggy with the hottest fillys on the planet, Zarkova, Zarkova's mother Zarkasha, Lush lashes, Alpine Rose etc. If he ever gets it on with Goldvinka the Earth will surely move for us all.

Remember a bar stool tale one night from a fellow that had been on a tour to coolmore
anysthehow
He was on about the "teasers" -
Given that time and effort were a precious comodity for the stallion he would keep a few deputies
whose job it was to get flirty with the Mare - so the teasers would get sent in take her out for dinner, go for a few drinks, get asked back for coffee, put on a bit of romantic music, snuggle up on the couch and then just when the mare was in the mood they would get a red card and the Stallion would get sent in to finish the deed.
Seems like a very cruel concept
(Also note it was a bar stool tale so it is possible that the gender roles were reversed to make the story more dramatic)

I heard they have these lap dancing type clubs where the stallion goes into a dimly lit back stable with fluorescent lights and some Marvin Gaye playing in the background. They usually run a movie like Black Beauty Does Dallas and then the action begins .... Sometimes they throw in a few diamond shaped blue tablets....

college days and girls from Horsey families - memories of happier days - as I head into a 4 hour meeting to make an ever thinner justification for my existance.

Interesting how that came up in conversation with this girl there RMDrive. Presumably it was her way of letting you down in a gentle and equine manner .....
