What I don't understand is how Noel McGrath will win young hurler of the year even though Joe Canning is the better hurler.

Re: Nominations for Hurling All Stars 2009!
Clash I think there is a perception that seeing as Joe is around so long he is not considered a young player!
NSG - I can see Dublin getting one All Star - more as a bow to the efforts being made for hurling - but not two.

Re: Nominations for Hurling All Stars 2009!
JC Dublin gave KK as good a game as waterford, Tipp or Galway. I genuinely believe these boys proved this year they can mix with the best and they should be rewarded/ If they give them one on the basis of the countys contribution to hurling they are doing Dublin hurling no good. Thats the same as telling antrim well done on keeping the game going up there, there is nothing more patronising and i sincerely hope they dont treat dublin like that.

Re: Nominations for Hurling All Stars 2009!
I can think of at least three better Kilkenny mid-fiel;ders than anything listed here.
Lar Corbett as hurler of the year? Did they learn nothing from giving it to Dan the man?
And no Aaron Graffin? Best left full back in the game this year. Ask anyone from Portumna, especially Ollie Canning who would be a good judge of corner backs.

Re: Nominations for Hurling All Stars 2009!
Well done Joe Canning on your nomination. I must tell Taggy Fogarty to stand with his hands on his hips all year and tap over a few 21 yard frees every ten minutes if he wants to recieve an AllStar nomination. If they put Canning on this year's team, I will storm the CityWest and drag Martin Brehony and Vincent Hogan out on the street and kick them round Dublin until they see sense. Such a crowd of jokers, who will ever forget last year's debacle? Canning ahead of Mullane! Well Jesus wept.

Go down to Kenny Park in Athenry this Saturday and you'll see why Joe Canning was nominated.
