Cheapest pint of Guinness in Ireland?
I've just got home from the weekend away in Dublin. Great fun altogether, enjoyed the city and soaked up the atmosphere of the final and met some great folks watching it in the pub but can somebody tell me how has there not been a revolution over 4.90 a pint!!!
The cheapest I managed was 4.50 in Balinteer. I was in Cork last year and it was around the 3.50 mark. Anyone got any cheaper? Not that I'm planning my holidays around the price of Guinness you understand

i share your pain 6inarow - in last few weeks have been to Dublin & Donegal and the price of a pint is scandalous, 4.90 was the cheapest one i got.

Ah Donegal - where the folk have one welcoming hand out to shake yours - while the other hand reefs your pockets!

Off the top o' me head the cheapest in a 40 mile radius of here (for removal and funeral excursions) is The Chariot Inn in Strokestown where Arthur's finest, if not the finest hostelry, dispenses pints for 3.40.
ASDA in Enniskillen is the way forward on the spirits front - Cassidy's in Derrylin have home heating oil 35% cheaper than locally, McCaffrey (also Derrylin) supply any kind if stone, ornamental for gardens included, delivered at 75% cheaper than anywhere else.
Patriotically wrong I know, but what have they done for us apart from nailing us to the Cross.
