For me, human endeavour, sacrifice and determination are all qualities that could be attributed to Liam Lawrence or Kevin Kilbane. All admirable qualities, but not ilkely to stir the blood on their own. Personally, I'd prefer 2 minutes of brilliance and excitement from a horse, than watching the likes of Kilbane or Lawrence trudge around for 90 minutes. I think we'll have to agree to differ on this one RMD.

Ah now it's easy to trivialise any sport if you want to RMD. I mean, is soccer really more than kicking a ball around a field, if you want to break it down to basics?
Racing fans and casual sports fans have great affection for the horse, evidenced by thousands traveling to see his farewell in Paris, and his picture dominated the front page of the Daily Telegraph the following day. It is a great achievement for Irish sport and, like it or not, will be rememberred and recalled long after we are all gone.

RMDs racism against horses exposed here for all to see. Suppose he thinks Arkle's contribution to Irish sporting history should not be celebrated or remembered either.
So long Sea The Stars.Thank you for a wonderful year.

Don't know about that Moss. I was coming in the Headford road this morning and there was a nag there that was the spit of see the stars. Perhaps I should have taken a picture.

Going to stand at The Aga Khan's Gilltown Stud in the County Kildare where great champions like Dalakhani, Sinndar and Azamour already reside!
And the first mare booked to him is last year's Arc winner Zarkava!

Sea The Stars is set to generate £10m annually in breeding fees ....Not bad for being an equine 'prostitute'.

Re: Sea the Stars
Already they are taking bets on first Sea The Stars/Zarkava Offspring to win the Arc – 33/1. Usually the first foal isn't great but one of Zarkava's and See the Stars foals are bound to be great, it will have all the pedigree.
