Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
Drugged up to the last.
No way could a horse bring about that improvement.........he annihilated them. Bet out of sight in the BC Juvenile.....4th in the Sunland Derby.....wins the Kentucky Derby by a furlong........spare me please.

Lost the race at the start when he stumbled coming out. Edgar Prado is a jinx.
Be interesting to see what the speed figures make of this. It was a scintillating performance, way too good to be true.

I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before. It was amazing.......way too good to be true. If it is, then its got to be the greatest dirt performance since maybe Secretariat in 1973.

I aim for a frequency of about 10%-15% since most the horses I back are on average 8/1 or 9/1.
I'm not sure what happened Dunkirk although I'd say he possibly hurt himself coming (stumbling) out the gate. The race was run perfect for him (like I predicted, a pace meltdown) but he simply was nowhere near good enough. Possible the sloppy track didn't play to his strengths either. Or its possible I was completely wrong about the whole thing.

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
O.K. just to correct myself on a few things.
I completely over-reacted last night. To compare this horse to Secreteriat or to suggest he was on drugs was totally wrong of me. Having seen the fractions for last night's race and having watched it about twenty times since, I see how unfair my comments were. This is a decent animal who benefitted from a brilliant ride by his jockey.
Basically to put it in perspective; they went 47 and one fifth seconds for the first half mile. That is unbelievable pace. It is the sort of time you would expect for a Group One Sprint not for a 3yo classic over ten furlongs. There was no way the leaders could sustain that pace and that is why the winner proceeded to win so easily. If you watch the video here:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
And pause it at 34 seconds, you will notice that the winner is about 15lengths behind the second last horse in the race. The jockey knew they were going way too quick and made a race winning move. As I said earlier, dirt racing is like a science, everything that happened can be explained......which brings me to Dunkirk. Again having watched the race over and over, his below par effort can be explained. He lost valuable ground coming out the gate and was then forced to use up unneccesary energy to get back on terms, a move which ultimately cost him any chance. He was then chasing an incredible pace, there was no way he could win lying up so close.
I doubt the winner is a good as he looked but he ain't bad either. It was probably his jockey who won him the race.

Was the cert Ruby's ride in second race?

No Nina in the last. Backed from 4/1 in the morning into 6/4, touched 11/8 and she never got into it. Appearantly it only had to turn up, bet out of sight presumably down to the ground.

Worth a tenner at least I'd say Lino. Leinster were the same price for the Heineken cup. All we need is Rocky Elsom and we'd be set

Re: Tips/Predictions/Bets
Bookies will make a killing on all the correct score, first goalscorer predictions tonight I reckon.
It does me head in when I go into the bookies and you hear some lad who wouldn't know a thing saying; two teams let me down for 20 grand last night.
Wrecks me head.
